July 27, 200718 yr A friend of mine plays bass and we need some good songs to play with good basslines as well as good guitar parts. Any ideas? and please no death metal or crappy pop bands.
July 27, 200718 yr What about other types of metal besides death? I can't really help you much beyond the Metal genre but give me a sub genre of Metal and I can direct you in the right way possibly. Basically you should tell us what type of music you guys are interested in playing so we can help more.

July 27, 200718 yr Maybe try some of the Strokes, Interpol, Bloc Party? Not very hard to play, and they sound pretty good. But if you guys are wanting to play Greenday, Blink 182, etc. like most local bands do, then you can go burn as far as I'm concerned. :) Cool.

July 28, 200718 yr If you want some stuff that gels together nicely, try Nickleback - Far Away. Thanks Venomai for this super sig and Kwimbob for the awesome avatar!
July 28, 200718 yr 'Brain Stew' by Green Day. I don't know if it has prominent bass part...we just added one to it. But it's a damn catchy riff. I really wouldn't call it an era. It was more of a definitive time period during which dinstinctive characteristics were expressed in similar ways.
July 30, 200718 yr Sound Chaser - Yes. The bass is absolutely insane! I don't run races to see who's the fastest, I run to see who has the most guts. -PreCurrently the best beat out there:Minuit jacuzzi (DatA Remix) - TEPR
