Can't wait to see it fully rendered. Hmm, I first thought I was just bored. Then I started drawing the lines of a dolphin. Fixed the lines, started shading, returned back to unshaded form, played with some lines, got bored. I don't know when or how I will continue it, but the dolphin SHOULD be jumping at a sea (how original). Trying to make large pieces of water look cool will be a challenge, hope I will ever get there. August 6, 200718 yr Lol, gotcha. Yes, I guess it will be pretty tricky to realistically shade the water, and not make it seem too 'monotone' and boring. I'm no expert, but if you start with the white wave crests and work 'down' the wave, going from lighter to darker blue at the wave trough, that may be a way forwards. I'm possibly spouting complete rubbish though, you'd have to ask Aperson or someone :-P 99/99 Fletching, 99/99 Cooking, 96/99 Strength
August 7, 200718 yr Hate to be the first "bad" cc on it, but the tail fin is way to big. Then the body seems to get smaller as it goes towards the head. But it shouldnt be too hard to fix the tail, good luck! jav besides the tail fin, that's actually how real dolphins look. good job on the picture so far, the shading is realistic, except for the middle part. like i said, looks pretty much like a real dolphin should loook.
August 7, 200718 yr Don't mean to be too narcissistic, but I think my good ol' "encounter" sig's dolphins were hawt. Mine are perhaps a bit cartoony in shape, but you should still definitely make the tail fin smaller.

August 9, 200718 yr Author Updated the thingy. I realised myself too, that the tail part is too big, but meh. It's good as it is :)? The middle part shading was done, uh, by trying without thinking. It wasn't perfect, but I was personally quite pleased, with the almost standable and different from what I have usually tried, result. August 11, 200718 yr To be honest, I liked it the simplistic way it was before. :uhh: The background is over-spraycanned, it doesn't look like water so much as a whole bunch of dots. :( Text leaves something to be desired as well. It had a certain style to it in the original version, but the background killed it. :| (anyway, good job with the dolphin itself, I'll stop talking about the background now and just say the only iffy bit I've got with the dolphin is the tail size, which seems a tad too big.)
