I actually have less respect for player mods than I do normal players; that is, unless they earn my respect. I know and am friends with several player mods, so they aren't all corrupt... However, more often than not, when I see a level 70 p-mod, I can assume he is ignorant and does not deserve his power.

No, but level generally corresponds with knowledge about the game. Someone who is level 110 is far more likely to abide by the rules of the game and be helpful to the community than someone who is level 60...

 

 

 

provided the 110 pk didnt break the rules to get to said level in the first place ;)

 

i knew more about the game than many people at level 60... it depends on how you played in the early days, whether or not you read the manual/knowledge base/fansites, or just blindly hit goblins with your bronze sword

 

and to add something, less than 1% of all p-mods possible had modship removed for rule-breaking related incidents. can't give numbers other than that, obviously, but no matter how you look at it, that's an incredibly small amount

I was in a f2p world Varrock a few days a go and there was this level 47 in Addy called something like eddy6521 with a silver crown. :shock: I continued to review him and he couldn't even string out a proper sentence, I'm shocked Jagex chooses some of these people without viewing them properly.

It's almost certainly true, most grey crown moderators are idiots incapable of typing a proper sentence...

You will nearly always remember the badly behaved mods over the good mods so it will seem like a large majority are badly behaved. The good mods don't draw attention to themselves so you are also less likely to see them.

 

I do think that JagEx should monitor people they choose as mods more carefully though as some may just act good to get status and some recognition amongst other RS players.
