Because that's how jagex decided the animations.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, rangers just "look" left handed, because they put the arrow in with their off hand, right?

Not sure about that one.

Anyway, a quiver down by your side works just as well as on the back...

The ranged is not left handed.

If you have ever done archery you would you hold the bow in ur strong arm. aka right for right handed.

As that one has to aim and hold steady, you use your weak arm to load and fire the arrow.

As for the quiver its there because its an available spot on the armour interface and I believe the quiver only graphically appears if ur actually wearing ranged armours

Im pretty sure thats how you shoot when right handed

As for the quiver, if we had a quiver apearing as soon as we equip arrows it would bring alot of issues with all existing equipment... and also because thats the way they wanted it to be lol

Quest cape obtained at combat level 83, march 07.

Hmmm hard question isn't it? Because Jagex made the game so.

Are you stupid? You hold the bow in your weak hand, and pull back with your strong hand. Ex. I'm right handed so I hold the bow with my left. Who taught you archery?

I've been taught archery by many people over the years.I think its around 6 different ppl, ranging from an expert to a pe teacher.

All told me to hold the bow in my right hand as i am right handed

Is this a country thing? :-k I've been taught archery by many people who know what they're doing and all have said you pull back with your dominant hand.

Thats team USA. They seem to agree with me...

A friend of mine does archery, and I asked him the question. He told me that it's only a matter of preference, he, for instance, holds the bow with his off-hand, but others in his same group hold it with their strong hand.

I'm and archer in real life, it is of total preference, which you feel better with. I'm right handed and hold the bow in my left, drawing with my right. The reason jagex put it in the right however is because all weapons are wielded with the right hand in Runescape and the reason the quiver is on the leg. Where's the cape gonna go if theres a quiver there?

think please....

Yeah I did, I said that's how Jagex decided to do it. It would mean they would have to go on top of cape graphics, which is more complicated, and people would want it to look way more realistic...
