bunny30
So it's not a giant rodent, just a little chipmunk attacking some seeds, but my husband made me write that so I would get more views. This was done with Prismacolor pencils, and then I added the background with Corel Photo-Paint, preserving the original pencil strokes in the main subject as much as possible. Thanks to Tttia for teaching me how to use layers.

How2PK
It looks great, I just think the jaws of the chipmunk are a bit out of proportion. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore! bunny30
The background was done starting with a black fill, and then I added different shades of brown using the chalk tool to get kind of a textured effect.

tttia
Knew that title would work! I really like the way this came out. Getting a traditional feel for the bg in photopaint was a bit of a problem, but think it wound up pretty well.

bunny30
I don't have that huge set of pencils. I have a smaller set of pencils that was given to me by my art professor when I graduated from college. Otherwise, I couldn't afford to buy them. :)
