August 13, 200718 yr The only dragon weapon that is comparible to the whip, is perhaps the dragon scimitar. The reason? It's good for training strength which you can't do properly with a whip. It almost rivals the whip for speed, and is only slightly weaker. However, most prefer the whip, hence the fact that it costs fifteen times as much.

The sega was a classic but the Ps3 will be legendary.
August 14, 200718 yr Actually, Dragon Longswords are an effective way of training your strength. I found that at 99 Strength, with nothing but a weapon equipped and no potions/prayers/specials, you can hit a 24 with a Dragon Longsword and a 26 with a Whip. Now compare the fact that a Dragon Longsword can effectively train Strength and you've got something to bargain for at 1/16th the price of a whip. Also, contrary to popular belief, a Dragon Scimitar actually hits one less than a Dragon Long, at 23. Not to mention that the Dragon Longsword requires a much easier quest, I think we've got a toss up on Strength training. However, if you're simply wanting to train attack or defense, then a whip is probably your best bet. If you have the money to spend on it, go ahead.
