outthere65
I am free player at the moment ...lvl 72 player with like 58 strength. I am currently on the Karmja island cooking lobsters and fighting lessers. I am trying to raise my combat levels to like 80 before becoming a member again. My question is this the best place to be getting combat xp the fastest in a free world? Guess I am also getting fishing and cooking xp too (lvl 49) Thanks or the advice
CampbellMC
On my first account I did that and it seemed to work pretty good. If you have lots of food banked though (or once you get a lil higher) you can go to ice giants.
alcoolj
The fastest F2P places to train are not lessers ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ in fact they are very slow. You want to train on a monster that has hitpoints close to twice your max hit, and has a respawn rate fast enough so you aren̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t waiting around for them. Close to a bank is a bonus but not required. Train on flesh crawlers on level 2 of SoS. They hit a max of 2, there are screeds of them around and you will get enough noted iron ore and fire runes to buy 10 times the food you could use up while training attack, strength, and defence to 75+ If you are after decent drops and you want to bank often, then hill giants may be a better option, though these are often very crowded, and using laws to telly to Varrock to drop off bones can get fustrating. Note that these will be a lot slower than fleshies. Don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t panic about the fishing experience ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ go straight to Shilo Village once you get members and you will make up for any lost time in a couple hours max! Borschwicz
I have heard ice giants are good training, but i dont know if they would be too strong for you. Other than that, the Security Stronghold is very good, if you train on the spiders. |Barrows Drops-7|Dragon Drops-5|
Crimsonsmash
mossies are really good as long as you can find an empty world
outthere65
Thanks for all the information....I have had to go back to my original RS account since my lvl. 102 was hacked and stolen by keylogger....Jagex won't help at all. So now I am careful to log in with my on screen keyboard, and have good pc. protection now. Anyway back to the subject of fast xp....forgot about the crawlers. Fishing a load of lobs. then cooking and heading to lessers is sort of time consuming. I plan on starting my mebership again in a few months and hope to have 70+ in my combat lvls. Any other advice is appreciated.
ultimatballr
I know this has already been suggested, however, you should give it a second consideration. Flesh Crawlers are quite possibly by far the fastest combat xp you can get in F2P. Think of them as the rock crabs or experiments of F2P. They hit low, have decent hp and have rather consistent drops which are stackable. Stackable drops mean you can stay longer and collect more than usual before banking. Also consider that many F2P's get 99 in their combat stats at the Flesh Crawlers, so you getting 80 combat should not be a problem. Especially if you train everything consistently. I.E. Train all your stats up 5 levels at a time. 5 attack levels, then switch to str and gain 5 of those, then get 5 defence levels, so on and so on.. :) Hope you take those into consideration. They are very good xp. You could even try switching it up every now and then. Try out fleshies, get a couple of combat levels, and then if you don't like them you could head back to lessers. You know  Apparently, my signature was to big.
outthere65
Thanks again.... I tried the fleshy crawlers last night and jumped up a level in strength.... so going to try and stick with them maybe til I get 80 in combat. If in the future I plan on getting into staking or possibly hanging out in the wildy...should I get my defence up in the 80's or 90's? I am like in the lower 50's now in def. outthere65
Should I raise my defense it is 52, str. 58 att.62... If I stake or go wildy in the future does it pay to have low defense...never really understood that? Thanks
AznSteve
Raising defense for pking in entirely up to you. If you keep your defense low, you should have high attack or strength to offset it. With high attack and strength, you will be able to hit people your level harder and more often, but at the expense of your own health. With higher defense, you will not suffer big hits as much, but you will also not be able to hit your opponent as much. Both ways work equally well. Personally, I believe that it's better to also know HOW to pk effectively rather than just having insane stats and hoping to kill anyone you meet. Once you learn how to pk effectively, you can basically make any account with any stats into a good pker.
outthere65
Thanks for the info. on the att and str. think I will try and get it to 60 for dragon stuff. Guess I have a lot to learn about tactics for slayer and pk'ing.
Platinum_Myr
The SoS is the place to go for training in f2p. Not sure which monsters, but level 2 or 3 I believe has the spiders and flesh crawlers. Those will be the best experience you can get in f2p, with some nice (bonus: stackable) drops, so you can just keep them, and not even waste food when they drop over and over :D Maxed since Sunday, January 9th, 2014Completionist since Wednesday, June 4th, 2014
purpieman2
after getting 70+ str and 80+ combat, ice giants are the best xp for f2p while getting drops
outthere65
just hit 60 strength up 2 or 3 levels in a day doing fleshy crawlers. I hope to hit 70 in a week or so. Any other advice?
Rsdude099
Mossies. Ive never personally tried flesh crawlers, so if that works out, hey, great. Lessers Suck. Pretty much done with rs now
outthere65
you can stay down fighting the flesh crawlers a long time....they only hit like 1. Might have to try mossies on a uncrowded world....lessers are slow...now that I have seen the fleshies
