I would deff. listen to it. If only I had a pair of speakers on my PC. :( We've got a new PC a few days earlier, but I don't have any sound on it yet. I'll keep it in mind.

Yea, it's hard to find really talented players that can feel what you're aiming for. And being a one-man-Death metal-act is rough as hell. Check out GOREFEST by the way. It's really cool, they're from my neighbourhood. They're really famous in the scene, if you don't know them, give it a go! They released a new album this month as well.

Ah, that's what I thought. It would be pretty darn impressive if he could play guitar, drum, bass all at the same time and sing as well. It's really cool that he's making his own logos as well. I always respect those multi-talent people, besides if you make your own band-logo it fits the music best of course; you've got nobody else (mis)interpretating your music.

It's not always about the looks though. Their music speaks for them. I wouldn't call them emo. :P They've been busy since the early nineties as well. :) And have you ever tried something by Nile or Necrophagist. Some really complex stuff there, they sure make your ears do some overhours!

Did you know Nile released a new album last month? I haven't heard it yet, but I'm really curious on how it will be. Have you heard it yet? If so, what are your thoughts on it?

Burzum... Immortal... Mayhem

/end

and ill throw in Carpathian Forest, Behemoth, and Gorgoroth for good measure.

edit*

death metal only.. pfft.

Metal is metal..

I listen to all sorts of music without discrimination, sadly I found most death metal to be utter trash that can be barely described as, or compared to "music". Pretty much like the pop scene with lots of horrible cliches and repetition.

Dimmu Borgir and Norther are exceptions though, they make good quality DM which is also great to listen to, unique vocals (though Dimmu Borgir has a few corny lyrics but the songs as a whole sound good)

There might be other good ones (and there sure are), I'll check out some listed on this thread. :) I also found a semi-old DM band called Vader, which has some good songs. It's polish or something, the stuff sounds pretty original. Might want to check it out if you've already listened to everything else.

Dimmu Borgir (more symphonic metal), Necrophagist, Nile, Behemoth, Vital Remains, etc.

Most, if not all death metal, lacks any depth in the lyrics (take Cannibal Corpse for example). But it's still great to listen to when you just want to hear something ultra-heavy.

You should try viking metal (Otyg, Finntroll, Moonsorrow, etc.). I just "discovered" it the other day. But seriously, you can't get much better than metalhead gypsies..

I've also started checking out some black metal bands recently. e.g. Burzum, Immortal, Darkthrone, Mayhem, Nattefrost. It's pretty good, but for me, I really have to be in the mood.

Cool.
