nerdattack16
I've got the basic idea down - antifire shield + potions, safespot, yeah. Mage: I've got chaos gauntlets, and a few thousand chaos and fires. Is 65 mage efficient enough for killing them? How many casts per dragon would I average? And should I kill iron or steel dragons? Range: I've got 64 range. Can I range them (standard cheap 60 ranged gear)? Rune crossbow, obviously, but what bolts? I'm kinda on a bit of a budget. Would range potions be worth it as well? CampbellMC
Err maging is slow even at 70 so maging at 65 wouldnt be too great unless you can afford arhims + infinity boots and seers ring and everything. Dont even try ranging.
mujtaba
never done em myself but have heard a few people mage em never heard of any1 ranging them (hint: metal) but yeah from what i've heard about them mage is always going to work better then range. hatebringer
Actually, i range them very nice with my 79 range+ karils. I use diamond tipped addy bolts, and a few ruby tipped in the beginning. And is usually cheaper in the long run than chaos, as 1k addy bolts lasts me for a really long time. EDIT: didn't see your range lv, you would need range pots just to damage them probably, so mage is probably the best, although it is still hard to hit them with mystic, probably use ahrims and inf boots 99 Fletching 99 Attack 99 Constitution 99 Cooking 99 StrengthGamertag: H8tebringer
Slayer_Jesse
yes, ranging is pretty good if you have 70 range with pots and good ammo (mith+) i find its a great way to kill them, epecaily with emerald or diamond bolts enhanted. davidium
i suggest if you want to range them then try to stick to iron drags cause for steel drags they are really hard to kill with a low range. with mith bolts, 97 range + range pot ill only be able to kill around 2 steel drags per dose of anti fire potion. iron drags are MUCH easier to kill as compared to their steel counterparts. also using ruby enchanted bolts at the start will make a big difference... maxed out melee on 10/10/08, current goal: 94/99 cookinglife may be unfair, but why can't it be unfair in my favor?my fake plant died because i forgot to pretend to water it
rhan_wolf
If you are just wanting to kill them for experience then go for it. But if you want to make a profit you better hope for a visage drop cause you will be spending like 200k per trip on runes. ------------------------sword metal.com
