Really, I just wanna' hear opinions from the people who thought luring should have been a bannable offense to begin with. It kinda' sucks that you can be banned for luring auto'ers but, then again, I see that Jagex is trying to avoid taking a hypocritical stance on the matter.

 

 

 

Either luring is fully allowed or it isn't.

 

 

 

Edit: Ya' know, I've got a mind to stand at the flax fields and start reporting people for luring auto'ers under item scamming (Yes, I'm sadistic like that).

Not many people would report for that too because well... They probably don't know it's reportable. Thank god otherwise people would be banned all over the place for luring macros because of wanna-be mods.

About the luring part of it, I completely agree. As we can see luring in ALL forms is (and should be) against the rules. Though it seems completely likely to someone that a particular person is a bot, you do not have proof. As the rules say "you must not deceive other players for personal gain". Luring is deception.

That's not what I said... read my post over again please.

He's right it's not the best way to solve the problem. Always report them! I hate it when I tell lurers to report the macros and they reply with "No just kill them!" They come back straight away (if they die). They often don't die no matter their level is. If you don't report, Jagex won't know about them.

I don't know if they'd ban you rather than give you blackmarks, but it's a violation of Rule 10.

You know, you can only be reported for item scamming(luring) if you have spoken or traded recently. :-w
