transcript80
If you do it on herbs only... A LOT of time. Herbs are ok xp for "side dish" but not if you plan on bulk xp. 5 herb patches, times say 90 minuts to grow. It depends on how long you play a day -> number of farming rounds you can make. Try planting trees, they are super fast, but REALLY expensive for mass farming training. To get cheap tree seeds, do both the miscellania quests and start the mini-game manage thy kingdom. You'll get free tree seeds basically, or make a profit form it to buy them. This WILL take time, of course. There are various ways to do this. Fruit trees take linger to grow, and yield less exp then normal trees. You can only plant like 4 day. Other data was removed when acoount got hacked... Zou_Lou
Hello, :) Fisky, kudos for this goal of 99 farming! =D> Farming is a great skill indeed and it would deserve more players like you wanting to get the oh so rarely seen and legendary Farming Cape. Personally, I love farming since my first day of RS membership. Although I'm planting 6 to 9 trees every single day since I've collected my first reward from Managing Thy Kingdom, I take it easy and go at my pace. At the moment I'm into planting willows and orange trees. With one to two herb loops and a few harvests of strawberries and watermelons I'm making roughly 20k farming xp per day, which is not that bad. The beauty of this skill is that it is designed for multitasking: plant your seeds, pay the gardener, and forget about them while you go training your other skills (slayer is a must do as many slayer only monsters have great seed drops). If you can afford it, go for the highest tree seeds you can plant. Do not forget to stock up on gardener payments and make sure to get enough herbs so you can raise your herblore high enough to cover most of your farming expenses. Do not neglect bushes and specials seeds, some are very good xp indeed (whiteberries ; poison ivy ; calquat). I wish you the best of luck on your goal, keep going! :) Greetings, Zou Lou. Do not forget to stock up on gardener payments and make sure to get enough herbs so you can raise your herblore high enough to cover most of your farming expenses. Farming payments are highly overrated. If you sold your payments, and just took the hit when one of your trees died, you'd make money. The break-even point is usually between 2 and 4 dead trees for every 10 planted.
Greedom1
At 95 farming myself (96 should be reached next week), I'd say you're setting yourself up for failure. The reason is that why goals should be ambitious, they should also be attainable. From lvl 40, lvl 99 or even lvl 75 is way out of reach initially. Start small. Start with trying to reach a particular bush/allotment/tree/herb that you are currently unable to plant. (Like snapdragons for example.) Still, you must realize that farming requires a dedication to this game that extends outside of your in game time management. It requires you to understand and think about crop growing times even when you're logged off. If you're truly serious about getting to lvl 99, you must master this or you will be discouraged quickly. I'll stop with that for now since I can go on and on. However, if you're still serious about farming once you've gotten to lvl 75, let me know. I will give you all the time in the world with tips/tricks/advice. But if you're not serious about getting to 75, there's no way you'll ever get to 99. (That's just the reality.) RSN: Greedom1 | QP 248+ | Combat 116 | Total 1920+ | Skills 95 craft, 99 farm, 88 herb, 91 mage, 85 slayer Values? What do they mean?
