Getting fire cape with these....

I gotten with me that range is the best way to get the fire cape, but my question is...is karil set good to use to get it...just karil set. No other items...(example: no guthan).

your question was a trainwreck in terms of grammer lol. i think i know what you meant though. you want to try to get a fire cape with karils and karils only? that would probably be a no unless you brought sooo many bolts. most people either use guthans or part karils part veracs with 2 c bows, and once even with dharok. i highly doubt it would be easily accomplishable without either of those two techniques.

I highly doubt it, you need a high prayer bonus if your ranging all the way, so maybe if you can use a holy symbol for ammy and verac skirt and a god cloak that wouldnt hurt your bank too much but should give you the sufficient prayer bonus you need to get you through it and if you can afford a veracs helm would help quite a bit.

I would HIGHLY recommend Guthans. I brought both ranging gear and Guthans when I did it. There are some people that use Sara Brews and Super Stat Restores to do it to get very high healing. However, there is still only a limit to the amount of hp you can bring doing this. Keep in mind that you can also sell your Guthan after your done, so you don't need to lose 12 to get the set for this.

Personally, use karils w/o the coif, and swap for a verac helm and crystal bows. The pray bonus is very highly needed, and bring 5 sara and 18 s restores, or however you can fit after your supplies.

Yeah, I recommend use of a trimmed skill cape (+4 prayer) and an initiate helm while ranging (low range penalty, +3 prayer). I also used an unholy ammy to get an extra +8 prayer with +2 attack bonus.

Guthans is not necessary at all, Muggiwhplar actually says it's easier without Guthans. (He's the master of the fight caves :wink: )

Well first off I would like to say that guthans is NOT a requirement. In fact I believe my first and only try was easy and I did not use guthans. I would say swap the karil skirt for a verac skirt and the coif for verac helm. If you want to do it with the x-bow then bring 3k+ racks if not more (personally I would say 6k+ just to be safe and its not like you can't resell extras)

 

 

 

If you can use ranger boots, archer ring, Achievment cape (trimmed preferably) or obby cape. Fury. Highest RFD gloves. With that equipment you should be set and ready to roll. :

i used to use the karils/veracs mix with 2 c bows. but since that update making it a little harder to trap the monsters. U end up taking more damage. Guthans is not necessarily required but i wouldnt attempt it without. Its going to be tough w/o it.
