Small update, decided for a wasteland background, not all rock, no lava :P .

The top of the fire cape is roasting the guys head. I know someone else already posted this before though. Hopefully you are going to put more detail on the wasteland background right? :wink:

Maybe you should dim the fire a bit, like I said before, so that it doesn't look like your burning his skin.

few things i would add, or point out:

 

 

 

1.widen the torso, and towards the top, it should go out a little more left

 

 

 

2. also widen the mid-section

 

 

 

you wouldn't have to widen it so much, but just to what is proportionate.

 

these two things would make this more proportionate, instead of having him with a huge head and huge arms, and then a small body.

 

 

 

These are just my opinions and perceptions, and i do have some background and experience in figure drawing. however, I am not an expert.

I know hes a little too thin. But meh, we are all a bit different.

 

'Sides, that would mean a complete characture rewrite probably as the main thing wich holds the characture together is the torso. Changing that means changing the rest. Something I am not going to do, not when my piece is so well executed then all of my pieces together. Only to (probably) ruin it.

 

 

 

Thanks for the C/C though, but I think the charactures fine now Ive softened the fire around the neck area.

 

 

 

Finished the grass and added the frame for a dead guy. Some rocks and a dead tree-thingy. Close to finishing :)

Very nice.... Though I suggest make more stuff for the volcano like molten rocks!

I love the effect you brought out on the firecape, makes it realistic. And as far as i know hasnt been done before so nice work.
