Ok, the lineart was done my cool_banana for my competition and since well Scarlet Elv was gracious enough to enter *Hugs scarlet* I bought her's and only her's but Banana being a nice guy said I could have the lineart and do with it what I wanted. Well I tried my hand at shading. Now I realize it's not finished I still need a bg but what do you think so far? And not to mention give me idea's for the bg.

pretty nifty. i'm sure it will look nice when it's all finished.

Heheh that looks great. This isn't a great idea but its the first thing that came to my head... Make them herding cows :P

Hmm.... i've always wanted to see a pixel sig be put into minamalistic terms.

I have an idea, i'll tell you about it on msn some tomorrow :)

More contrast in the shades..

Lowgravity, I want to be just like you. But...I never will be as 1337 as you. :(

Well if I can't make more contrast because that means adding more shades which would give it almost a gradient feel. And if you think I should make some of the darker shades even darked then it'll look almost blotchy.

it would look cool with like a sunrise in the bg.

I.m.o. the hands/arms of the guy in the back are a bit out of proportion. Same with the bicep of the guy in the front, or rather, his bicep is out of proportion with his forearm. The only other things that 'd change in this picture is the left eyebrow of the closest guy (it looks too rectangular to me), and the rays of the sun (they look too.. straight-cut?)

Overall, the image isn't my "style"- I sort've dislike the subtle shading and I'm a fan of stroke ;-) Don't get me wrong though- It's a great image, better than alot of people- including myself- could do.

I would suggest a more complex background- say the part in runescape near the Al Kharid gate. Once you cross the bridge at lumby, I'm thinking the camera would be angled to the north west a bit so that you could just see the house sitting there, the river and trees, and maybe a goblin hiding behind a trunk in the distance. Of course, the size of the image doesn't allow for that much, but that is where I can picture these two characters- on that path near the Al Kharid gate.

maybe its me but i think the guy in the back has a bit to big bulky arms in my opinion :?

Background?

How about starting a new trend?

Pixeling over terragen landscapes. Would be nice to see a cool looking mountain and sky in that background. Especially with that eagle in there. :)

subtle shading is good its GOOD shading the only reason there is usually a gradient look is because

A. the people arent real good

B. the people used a gradient tool

C. i guess a few people kinda like that..... ewww

i really like it :D
