September 10, 200718 yr I don't. I don't like the wilderness so I stay clear of it as much as I can. But if you want to mine mith/adamantite, I think it is one of the better choices. Take a pic and some cheap/replaceable armour and a glory and you can mine a lot there! Other data was removed when acoount got hacked...
September 10, 200718 yr they changed the wildy... now the non multi combat mining spots arnt safe anymore... befor you could hide at the hobgoblins, skeletons or other agresive npcs but that doesnt work anymore.. ^^ click my sig for my lesser ranging guide ^^jwrm22: 4816th > 99 cooking 100% f2p !1172 total! + 140mil in items.i dont play anymore... i think rs is ruined

Nope, hobgoblin numbers are so abundant in the mine that there is a high chance that the pker gets attacked himself to be able to attack you over an npc, so they still serve as a small form of protection. Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

Personally though, the only reason to mine in the Wilderness is if you are a F2Per mining Rune. Why do you resist? September 10, 200718 yr well for ppl who do not have high enough mining level to enter the mining guild the skeleton mines below level 10 wild is quite a good option...other places may have all the rocks the wild has but the hobgoblin mines have much greater quantity of these rocks (addy and mith) and besides you dont really have much competition...just mine, log, change worlds. hardly run into much trouble... ive powermined iron at the hobgoblin mines from 79-85 mining and have only met a couple of pkers who care to pker me...seriously these ppl are sort of losers who pk miners since they cant pker other players...i mean what do u get from me? an inventory full of iron ores! WOW OMG IM RICH!!! CAN BUY A PHAT SET! :-w maxed out melee on 10/10/08, current goal: 94/99 cookinglife may be unfair, but why can't it be unfair in my favor?my fake plant died because i forgot to pretend to water it
September 10, 200718 yr I mine coal at the skeleton mines, because the mining guild is always too crowded.
September 10, 200718 yr I personally used the skeleton coal mine when I was F2P before I could use the mining guild. It's the only other decent size coal mine you'll find in F2P. I got PKed a few times but only ever lost a few items of armour.
