September 11, 200718 yr Has anyone noticed if wearing cooking gauntlets when cooking monkfish helps you to burn less? I dont feel like wasting the $$ to switch mine from smithing to cooking if it wont make a diff. I notice tip.it mentions it only "slightly" improves your success rate. I was wondering what you all think? Thanks! :D
September 11, 200718 yr Ive heard its only about a 1-2% difference. Quit. PM me if you play The Conduit to exchange friend codes.
September 11, 200718 yr The knowledge basesays: Are there any items that prevent you from burning food so often? Yes. After completing the Family Crest quest you will get the option to obtain a pair of Cooking Gauntlets as part of the quest reward. While wearing these gauntlets you will burn fewer lobsters, swordfish and sharks. So I'd say they won't help. You should cook the Chef's Ranged in Lumbridge, though, it helps for all types of food. September 11, 200718 yr its not a percentage deal... for all foods, at a certain cooking level you burn less, and at another level you burn none. Wearing the gauntlets lowers those level requirements for all foods. Jagex doesn't publish those numbers, unfortunately.
September 11, 200718 yr heard that you still burn monkfish at 99cooking with gauntlets thats not true coz u dont burn sharks after 100 cookin, and Mf's are much lower in the table than sharks A wise man once said if we are all gods children then whats so special about jesus
September 11, 200718 yr The only difference I have seen is that I might burn 1 less out of an occasional load than usual. For me with a full load of 28 the burn rate is about 4 to 5 each trip. With the gloves it tends to drop by 1 every 2nd or 3rd load.
September 11, 200718 yr heard that you still burn monkfish at 99cooking with gauntlets thats not true coz u dont burn sharks after 100 cookin, and Mf's are much lower in the table than sharks thats not true coz maybe u havnt tried it. You do burn less, although it makes it go from about 2-3 a trip to 0-1 a trip, so not a big difference. In Soviet Russia, glass eats OTers. Alansson Alansson, woo woo woo! Pink owns yes, just like you!GOOOOOOOOOO ALAN! WOO!
September 12, 200718 yr I asked the same question about cooking gloves and monkfishes; http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=693943&highlight= 8 skills at 99: Herblore - Farming - Cooking - Firemaking - Woodcutting - Fletching - Magic - Crafting

September 12, 200718 yr heard that you still burn monkfish at 99cooking with gauntlets thats not true coz u dont burn sharks after 100 cookin, and Mf's are much lower in the table than sharks You still burn sharks (uncommon) when at 100 Cooking. But on topic to the question, nobody's absolutely positive how much it helps, but the KB says that it works with lobsters, swordfish, and sharks. It doesn't mention anything else. If it does make a difference, I didn't notice when I cooked a couple thousand on my way to 99.
