If the sun was that low, the overall look would be darker though.

 

Added shade from boat onto water, and a little more on the boat itself.

 

And changed the sky.

Very nice.

 

Try blending in the colors of the sky now, so you cant just see lines.

The water, is VERY nice, though the sig its self, in my opnion is to, to... plain maybe

 

 

 

Its VERY good for a frist, theres no doubt about it but it for some reason, doesnt look right, its good, but something doesnt look right i think its the sky i dont know,

 

 

 

But the way it is, is Very nice,Though, with the placing of the sun, down the middle of the water, would be more of an orange glow, from the reflection of the sun

 

 

 

The Clouds:

 

For the colour of the sky, and the son, the clouds do not match, they need to be a slight orange color too, not white, they stand out TOO much,

 

 

 

 

 

Other than that, it looks good, maybe add in a few clouds in the distance.. work on the shading in everything, and add in the colours on the ocean and the clouds, and i think you will be good :) Very nice job, Especially for a first

All I suggest is to search google for any reference pictures that may help you with this, the main thing I think could be improved is possibly the perspective, as the boat is on the horizon I'd expect it to be much smaller unless it's a huge boat. but, you're on the right lines. I personally like it as it is.

Why are some people posting comments like, 'work on your shading' ? that doesn't help in the slightest, what about the shading do you think could be improved?

Blend the lines sort of like what i did, and maybe move the sailboat down so it's in the water rather then on the horizon

wow, thats really good! The only problem i have with it is that the background needs to be blended a bit more. other than that its pretty much perfect :thumbsup:

maybe this'll help with your boat, and it's shadow. Also I think you're sun would be massively too large. If you want this true to rl I'd focus on getting your sizes right.

great pic i love the style of the water i found it kinda funny how many people told you what to do in this thread when the first pic was so good - the latter vertions with the large boat sun reflection on the water and blended sky is incredible ..... make me a siggy?

:o That is an excellent begining pixel! Puts my beginning avatar to shame. I love the scene, the colors, the clouds, but, listen to some of the other peoples criticism. I don't have anything critical to say.

 

 

 

Personally, your name logo is a bit big, and I would change it to something smaller and unobtrusive. Like my little MS.
