kemikalkadet Posted September 18, 2007 Share Posted September 18, 2007 iron bolts are nowhere near strong enough to kill black dragons. i'm 84 range and it's hard enough with mithril enchanted bolts. considering your range is unranked i'd suggest diamond tipped addy or higher. On topic: the best place for mining and banking iron is Yanille. just north of the bank there are 3 rocks. Smelt them in either phasmatis or neitiznot if you can get there. As for smithing the bars, varrock or yanille anvils are equally close to a bank.. i prefer yanille for the peace and quiet. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

A nearby dwarf will deposit your load of gold in the bank for you, but charges several gold ores. If you wear an activated ring of charos (from the Garden of Tranquillity quest), you can charm him to reduce the fee.
