Good Luck on your RC goal, it's huge, it's amazing and it's crazy. Getting it would be an amazing achievement. Remember to keep having fun though, it's a game in the end. And ZMI altar is the best way to go indeed. But don't underestimate double astrals, they were the best to level before the ZMI altar (source is a guide on the RSOF: 22-23-135-51123056)

Well as I said, it's not just that I don't think it's worth it, I'm really bored with it. I realized when I crafted those 80k essences that I was having more fun doing THAT than slaying. Kinda weird to some, but that's just how it is for me.

 

 

 

That astrals method does look pretty good though; but aren't astrals a little hard to sell? People don't use nearly as many of those as nats I think :-k

This whole grand exchange things troubles me a bit. It will of course be a great thing that I'll be able to sell off my ZMI runes quickly and without wasting any time; but how will this effect the prices on nature runes? Or prices on runes in general? And what about pure ess and super energies? So soon after I decide to go for this goal, and I'm faced with uncertainties on the future of this skill.

 

 

 

I guess we'll all just have to wait and see how this plays out.

I doubt much will change. Yes, it will probably create a little more supply for the bit obscure items (TT items anyone), but I doubt it'll change a lot for everything else. Especially things which are already quit easy to trade like runes and ess. If you're willing to sell/buy for only a little less/more trading those items is a peace of cake. I don't see any reason why that would change.

 

 

 

About slayer: If you're bored of something, it's a good idea to not train it. A game is to have fun!

Thats alot. Yes I now see why you skipped on the slayer, if I could get 250k exp in a day in either skill Id sure be sticking too / training the hell out of that skill for sure Amazing work there.

 

 

 

It does however sadden a person like me that you went the runecrafting route, but hey I was in your shoes at one point. :-#

 

 

 

Both skills make you great money, however if the tasks your getting are boring you there isnt much point to them, and also with the slayer, Abby demons still make you a good bit of money, what with all the rune drops, runes, and free crystal key practacially every trip there plus the occasional whip, cant really beat that.

 

 

 

As someone once said to me a while ago, "Whats the point in training up your combat stats, if your going to train on (enter lower lvl monster, like mossies as you mentioned earlier) if those stats arent going to be put to use to kill monsters that make it enjoyable to see say a Dragon chain, or an Abyssal whip lying on the ground in front of you?"

(Ill try to post a bit more on your blog too, Although I much prefer reading to typing, I must say I have liked your blog in comparison to alot of the others out there, maybe just becuase it reminds me of what mine looked like when I was an Rcer before a slayer. Its just when I get to typing I get too carried away and distracted from my own runescape goals quite alot)

Well 250k was actually kind of an extreme for me. I did like 22k pure essences yesterday, my average when I'm actually on is around 8k. I just had a lot of time on my hands yesterday.

 

 

 

As for seeing an amazing drop lying before me; I'm really doubting even if I did train slayer I would see many of them. It's all based on luck, which I seem to have precious little of. Like I said in a previous post; I've killed well over a thousand iron dragons over the dozens of tasks I've been assigned of them, and no drop.

 

 

 

Yes I know if I persevered I'd eventually get one; but why stick to a skill whose moneymaking aspect depends heavily on luck when I could spend some time training a skill up to a level that would bring in a steady supply of money? There's no uncertainty that 91 RC will bring with it great wealth. (I mean, 10k ess which takes about a day can make me 2m now, but with 91 it's like 5m :shock:)

Well I was only selling laws, deaths, bloods, and natures.

 

 

 

280 for deaths, 300 for nats, 450 for bloods, and 350 for laws. Sold really fast... defiantly made some profit on those 20k ess.
