F2P PKING

This is not a question how to pk, it's just that lately i've been on worlds 3 & 7 and I have seen quite a lot of pures wielding daggers: mith & addy & rune.

 

 

 

QUESTION: are daggers better than scim/2h ?

Im guessing that daggers are cheap to buy but Scimitars are the best pking weapon in f2p imo along with the rune 2h. You may have seen some cheap pkers :P

Ha Ha, funny, i noticed that aswell. I vsed a person with a rune dagger (lvl 96) and it was taking off more damage then i had expected. But i ended up killing him easy, got the dagger :thumbsup:

ah i see, my friend told me that if you have very high strength for your level, and since daggers pack fast small punches you may be able to hit very quick medium-high hits. #-o

That'd be the point of using daggers, you're right. But most people use scimitars because it has the best speed-strength ratio.

Actually, daggers and scimitars have the exact same speed, with scimitar clearly the stronger. So yes, what you see is definately the result of cheap pkers afraid to lose a scimitar. =p

Since both are same speed they must be arguing extra str vs. cost. 4-10k v 20-35k. Clearly with such high str lvls as pures it is a logical choice considering how often they die.

Scimitars are very slightly slower than daggers. But scim still better since it has almost twice the strength.

The scimitar is mainly a slashing weapon, although it does have a less effective stab attack. It's not as flexible as the shortsword, but it deals slightly more damage. Slashing weapons are good against cloth and leather armour.

 

The dagger is one of the faster weapons in RuneScape. Generally, the dagger's best attack style is stabbing, although it also is suitable as a slashing weapon.

 

Kiteshields are marginally weaker against stabbing attacks.

 

Chainmail is weak against stabbing weapons as small pointy blades can pierce the rings

 

Leather is more resistant to crush attacks and weaker against stab attacks
