I have started a rather ambitious project.. This dude Spialot asked for a pixel sig, and I felt sorry for him because people barely ever do free pixel sig's anymore.. He also had a good idea that I thought would be fun to do, so I decided to make him one myself! Now I'm really a amateur at this, so any C/C will be appreciated.

It should be a room which contains myself sitting on a throne chair, with a hellcat at my feet. I should be wearing basic clothing, and hair should be black and longish. Hanging from the wall will be a fletching and cooking skillcape (hanging from the hoods). These should show the backs, so you can tell what skills they are.

 

You can include a window and door if you want (items sitting on windowsill would be nice), plus random items scattered throughout the room. Preferably gold (not alot though), whip, nezisnot helm, rune armour, ect. Please include construction items like crystal saw and hammer. Please no rares!

Looks great so far. But always save pixel in .png. Jpg looks horrible :wink:

JPG, JPEG, JPE, JFIF-are all the same thing.. and Bitmap files are completely different.. although PNG does look better.. :wall: at least it doesn't mutilate the colors..

Looking good so far. As someone mentioned, don't save as .jpg (right click -> properties says it's .jpg ><), kills the quality and makes it awfully grainy.

 

 

 

To make a glassy effect (I've never actually tried it myself, so I don't know how it'll look), you could try and take a shade lighter of the colours there and draw thick 'streaks' across a bit of the glass. You could also look in older signatures (I'd link you to one but I don't actually know where they'd be) and try and replicate the glassy technique there as well.

 

 

 

Not much else to crit for now, as it's a WIP. Best of luck, and again, good job offering. :)

Cat is too big. For the window, just go a few lighter than the colors through the window.

Yes, the cat is just a tad too big. You don't have to add glass, just add curtains to the sides so you can recognise it as a window.

Post a picture of the window without the lines (one that isn't as a jpeg) and I'll try and add a glassy effect and see what I can do, and yeah try adding curtains that's a great and simple way to make it look like a window.

Version 3 is up! I think the glass turned out rather nice.. and I made the hellcat a bit smaller, as well as fully pixeled it's outline. What do you guys think..?

Yah, your sketch looks femnine now.. but don't worry, I haven't finished adding the muscles and stuff yet :XD:

Might have overdone the "glass" lines, try removing some of them and it might look better. And also toning down the "whiteness" of the upper ones.

Wow this is coming along very nicely :)

 

 

 

The face looks a tad too round though, maybe oval it a bit to show some bones. Of course I know nothing about art anyway, so don't take my advise too serious. For all I know you're going to make it less round soon anyway.

Looking good, but the way he's sitting it kind of looks like hes crossing his legs because he has to pee real bad. :P
