87-99 Magic....

Hello, welcome to another one of my Magic-related questions =p.

This time, I just wanted to confirm to use the Enchant Onyx spell(or should I use another one? :-k) and how to do it? Simple.

A little FYI, I'll be doing this 93,000 times, any ideas how fast this is(per spell) relative to alchemy?

EDIT: See bottom post

It's much faster than hi alch, and it can be done in the mage training arena. But unless I'm mistaken, I think Jagex reduce the xp per cast in that particular game. Check it out.

Alternatively, I thionk most poeple go for the stun, but you'll need a lot of soul runes for that. I'm 94 mage and I'd need over 50k souls to get to 99.

Don't follow me. You might not make it.

If this were a dictatorship, it'd be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator

The spell is alot faster then Alchemy, but you lose the gold for the cosmics, and you get no return. With alch, you lose a little less, and if you make the bows, you lose even less.

Also, you need to drop the orbs into the pit, which can get tedious.

I'd say alching.

Its alot easier, and you can chat while doing it.

You don't NEED to drop the orbs, but it's faster :D

But my opinion is to do that rather than alching.

Thanks everyone for replying, still I'm not sure... I have 20m to blow on it, F.Y.I., completely blow, nothing left. I did not know the 75% of the experience is gone in the MTA, are there any other methods besides those that I could get for 20m?

I just found out that I need 312,000 curse spells to get 99 magic also, and buying from the new stores( <3: /  ), it costs just under 5,000,000 gp. How fast would this be?

I think it's 20 or 30 curses a minute so it'd take awhile.

I'd just do chaos gaunlets+fire bolt at dragons make hp xp and mage xp and pay for the runes with drops.

Taking in new information, it will take 124,000 some onyx enchants in the Arena for 99 magic. I now have 22m cash to spend, and I will not make any materials or runes myself, ever.

What is the fastest(disregarding money spent) method to get 99 magic through that?

Well, all you have to get is a lave battlestaff and oodles of cosmics (22 mil? Easily enough for those cosmics :P). Plus you can buy a few other spells and get Infinity Armour (Possibly full :o!). But yes...Mage Training Arena-Uber leet.

If you buy all those cosmics at a fairly high price, this would cost you around 18.5 mil. You could probably double that getting infinity, though :P

catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

You go in the room, pick up some objects from the piles and enchant them all. They'll turn into white orbs and you just click on the pit in the middle of the arena once you have nothing but white orbs, and they go away. Then you repeat. This is the fastest magic method without ancients (bursting) or Pest Control. It can get tedious after a while so I'd suggest mixing up alching (which will get you cash back) and the enchantments (you can make a lot of money if you get other pizazz points to get the Infinity armor and what not).
