Stunning is another possibility after level 80 although it is quite expensive. I believe that alching is the best way to level for lower mage lvls, but there are some other alternatives for lower xp/hr or more expensive. I average make at least 800tabs an hour (with butler), so it's a small, but nice PROFIT training mage.
