lol, I never search for other people, only search for myself, and sometimes when there is a stupid poster that is new I search for his/her posts.

I search keywords rather than names. That's the way my brain works. I remember what people said but have no chance at remembering who said it. Plus, with the aliases on here, it's impossibly hard to search names, as I can't remember how to spell half of them. People should make their names simpler to spell, like mine, instead of using like 5 numbers.

Making a MOD to collect the information wouldn't be too sophisticated, but it's not really that useful and it's all extra work for the server.

Its just a bit complicated and you have to do some manual sql queries to list the search tables. Theres nothing built into the moderator or administrator control panels to automatically do this.

Possible, but unlikely to be implemented. Listing the the top10 search terms wouldn't be hard. Since phpBB almost does that for you anyways. Getting the top10 members search for (as in 'by author...' option) is almost impossible. I can assume how it'd be done, but it's overly complex.

Try spelling the name as you think you would then adding a * on the end, it then searches for names that are similar, it's pretty handy.
