Rate my First Pixel

This is my first pixel. Please use constructive critism.

 

I will fix the sky last-all of my attempts at making a pixel sky have failed so far.

This is the first version. Note the pharoah isn't pixel though. I originally made this for Xeones-

You jpegged it, nuff said. And it almost looks like that pharoah was jsut pasted in since it's alot different style and has a while outline.

Umm... putting the unpixeled pharaoh in the sig makes it not a pixel. Pixel is 100% your own work.. Besides that

 

 

 

-Suns don't go up in the corner, you need to make it a nice, small circle in the sky area.. Look outside your window, you'll see what I mean.

 

 

 

-Sky's aren't one solid color, the colors are lighter and grayer as they approach the ground.

 

 

 

-Clouds need to be shaded, use shading to make them nice and fluffy looking.

 

 

 

-Sand needs to be textured, and the ground gets more sky colored for objects in the distance. Make your land 'fade' if you know what I mean.

 

 

 

-Cactus needs work, but it's the best part of this entire sig. Remember that objects in the background are smaller, so unless that cactus is huge(larger then your pharaoh)

 

 

 

-Background is too plain. Add some pyramids or a sphinx shimmering in the desert heat.

 

 

 

-Text is too large. Instead of filling the area with text, add lizards, snakes, rocks, ect. Be creative!

 

 

 

-You generally want to use your own colors, the ones made with color picker tool.

 

 

 

-Make your own pharaoh, don't cut+paste!

 

 

 

-Shade! There is absolutely no shading except for the cactus!

 

 

 

Other than that, You've earn a solid six kittens out of ten for effort. I really think you want to become good at making sigs.. Pixels are harder and VERY time consuming.. Maybe you should stick with abstract ones until you get better? This sig here has lots of potential, methinks...

Not really a pixel as there is next to no detail. That pharaoh has definately been copied and pasted from another image. Best advice for you is to look at proper pixels, which i'm sure you will find by browsing the gallery and take more time over your work...

Nice ripping ffs. I've seen that kind of pixel earlier, don't really member who made it. It was by far better than the on you made.

It was Xerones concept and Snake who made the sig.. If your talking about ripping the idea then yes.. but the pharaoh render and stuff is in fact his..

and as for this pixle, that isnt a pixel. its bad, you ripped the idea.

 

 

 

its not a pixel, you made the shaped and filled it in with paint bucket. a pixel is when you place EVERY pixle.

 

 

 

1/10 for effort, then -10 for ripping and - 1 for ripping the pharoah

I am making this pixel based on Sct Snake's for Xeones, but I am just trying to make my own version of it. Its not like I'm going to give myself full credit, I'm just trying to make my own version. I give credit to Sct Snake for the idea-and as for the pharoah-IM WORKING ON IT!!! Anyways- besides the pharoah-I am making the pixel from scratch-Its not like I copied and pasted from the original. Also, sct snake used the same pharoah that I have now-only made it a pixel and changed it a little, its technically the same.

Flaming is not allowed in any form, why? because its useless. Why dont you tell someone what to change, instead of turning him down.

It's getting better, but the sky was obviously not done with paint. A true pixel should be done completely in paint each pixel of color being laid by hand.

 

 

 

Whole thing needs shading. The anatomy of the guy is right, but the colors don't really work well, and theres not much detail. The said needs to be more granulated or something instead of just a few darker lines. The moon needs shading, and the cacti don't look real, I would suggest googling a picture of real cacti and starting ver on them. Moon needs to have shading and craters.

Do not tell beginner pixeller this for 2 reasons,

 

1. It's not true, you do not place every single pixel one by one, lets say for the sky, you telling me he has to place every pixel in the sky 1 by 1? no because he doesn't.

 

2. Because it could actually put people off pixelling, if you tell someone they need to place every single dot 1 by 1 they are going to think, well I'll never have the patience for that I'm not even going to bother.

It's still a Jpeg, you need to learn how to save thi8ngs properly. Also the sky isn't done in paint so that makes it not even a pixel and third the pharoah is still bassically a traceover with his foot still being cut off.

I don't see it as flame, but now it's more like spam. But that's a mod's job, not mine.

 

 

 

It does look a little awkward, but it looks ok for a first try. I like the later versions.

Man, it's not really a pixel if you just search pictures from google and copy them in your picture. Pixel is where you paint every single pixel by yourself.
