*Trimmed Quest Cape*

As everyone, or at least I hope everyone knows when you gain two or more skill capes they become trimmed. For some reason, unknown to myself or any of my friends, the quest cape does not count as a real "skill cape", so it is not trimmed. I hope to sway you to agree with me that the quest cape should be trimmed in this post.

Reasons there should be a trimmed quest cape:

-The quest cape is the only cape in the game that you have to continuously work in order to keep the privilege of wearing it.

-It is the only cape that literally gets harder to obtain for a new player, or any other player that has not done every quest yet.

-The quest cape is actually much harder than some other skill capes to get, because you can't buy the skill cape (you can't buy all the supplies needed to get it like cooking for instance).

-It costs the same as any other cape to actually buy (99,000gp)

Suggestions:

here are some suggestions I have gotten from other people, these might be slight variations in how the quest cape would gain its trim.

ironmaiden666:

When you get the quest cape for the first time it is trimmed, but when a new quest comes out, it loses the trim, so a clean quest cape shows u had completed all the quests at some point, and a trimmed quest cape shows u r completely up to date with quests.

Nabbagad:

I suggest that it becomes trimmed if you have completed the achievement diary tasks. Perhaps this would mean it becomes untrimmed once a new task comes out.

I agree, The Quest Points cape does seem undercut.

Support, why bother making it a cape when it can't be trimmed?

I am working on some more pictures, I hope to have them done soon but I don't like to set deadlines because if I miss it then not only could people be mad at me but I am mad at myself.

Quest Cape is actually a more respectable cape than some others, so why not? Support!

It's a good idea, but I have a question. Say, if you have a quest cape with a cape of a different 99 skill. Both capes will obviously be trimmed. However, if you could not complete the latest quest, would your skill cape switch to being untrimmed? Would the cape just be unwearable, so you have to go back the original provider of the skill cape to 'un-trim' it?

it would most likely stay trimmed as long as you have another skill cape.

and thanks for the support everyone

Nice idea. I support.

You just stole the trim from the mining cape.

And how exact;y do you get it trimmed?

I have a suggestion for this:

When you get the quest cape for the first time it is trimmed, but when a new quest comes out, it loses the trim, so a clean quest cape shows u had completed all the quests at some point, and a trimmed quest cape shows u r completely up to date with quests.

mmk. Sounds like a good idea, my friend recently got Quest cape (again) Im sure he'd love to see it trimmed. And why not have it become trimmed after doing a big miniquest that isn't required to actually get the cape... understand?

I did not steel anything from any other cape,

and what do you mean by how exactly do you get it trimmed?

eh, i would keep it just with normal quests.

I do think it is an interesting idea but I don't agree it should be trimmed with another 99 cape.

I suggest that it becomes trimmed if you have completed the achievement diary tasks. Perhaps this would mean it becomes untrimmed once a new task comes out.

Anyway, that's just my idea.

I support this ^.^...it would work best with finishing achievements but there definitely needs to be more of them for this to be implemented.

I dont support, who cares if its trimmed, the capes already an achievement.

99 capes are trimmed by having other 99's, 99 in any skill is harder then getting a quest cape.

  • Author

no its not, I got 99 cooking in a week and didn't lose a cent off of it.

jk.. good idea, i support.

I don't mean to plug in any other ideas but maybe the Quest cape could be in relation to a Music/Adventuring/Achievement Diary/miniquest/minigame cape. Having a 99 skill cape would not trim the quest cape, but having one of the capes listed above would. Miniquest would mean completing all sidequests and hidden updates(Ghostly Robes, Shadow Sword, I forget the rest).

If any of these capes seem to easy to get, I guess there could just be no cape for those miscellanious subjects and then your Quest cape would get trimmed.

Officially retired on 12/10/07, no drop parties because that might be "covertly trading wealth". What does one person's happiness(until they quit) mean compared to the hours I wasted while runecrafting, anyways?

You just stole the trim from the mining cape.

And how exact;y do you get it trimmed?

I want to know exactly the same thing....

I suggest that it becomes trimmed if you have completed the achievement diary tasks. Perhaps this would mean it becomes untrimmed once a new task comes out.

Already rewards for them.

What? NO its not right the quests are to easy and it means you can just stop after mep2 there isn't really many more hard quests...COME ON.

I did not steel anything from any other cape

Yes it is the mining cape trim.

I DO NOT SUPPORT

i support the whole idea, ive got the cape to. its not fair other capes get trimmed and this 1 not

I DO NOT SUPPORT

#1 - I just want it trimmed, how it would become trimmed I do not know, I have had people suggest things that I have posted.

#2 - The trim of a cape is based off of the color on the arm guards, notice how many capes are trimmed in yellow, and there are also a few in red as well.

RuneScape-Sigre-sized-1.gif[/url]

I do not support the quest cape is realy easy to get, most people lvl 100+

have a quest cape and it is far easier and funner to get.

  • Author

its not easier than the cooking or thieving cape which you can easily average 200-250k xp an hour in each
