Is runescape salvageable?

Featured Replies

How can you look at the entire year? The numbers over the summer and during breaks vary strongly, even the number of weeknights vs weekends. Comparing similar times in different years, the numbers are pretty consistent, if not increasing.

As of 2:07 a.m. (-5 gmt) there are currently 83,109 players on. This is quite low when compared to 2006 and 2005 numbers. Hmm.... I wonder if I can google precise numbers that far back.

80k players during nighttime is actually pretty similar to numbers back then, and I've seen nighttime numbers of 100k players so there really has been no increase. So actually, I think you're wrong, the numbers have been going up instead of down.

The "Connection Lost" thing was almost non-existant until around late-2005. I think this started happening right around when "player-owned cats" were introduced. The vast majority are quite fed up that Runescape just loses its connection at random times.

and where might this "vast majority be"? The only stuff I've seen are some idiots ranting about the stuff they lost on RSOF and the connection lost could have perfectly well been on their end.

Get your facts straight before you make assumptions. There are still updates that are targeting the higher leveled players. Best example would be godwars dungeon.

to be honest godwars isnt really that dangerous all u need is 4 easily obtained items and you take zero damage. the only way that it can be considerd high level is killing the bosses but a lv 60+ player can train for example range there quite safely

For all the times Runescape has been ruined in the past, it has actually held up really well.

It seems a lot of updates are hated at first. Some things you can't do the same way anymore, some people will get angry and leave. But I think most will come back eventually and life will go on.

I really don't know what to say. RuneScape is changing, fast. Maybe too fast. The vetrans are leaving and newbs are flooding. The future of RS rests in the Mid-levels' hands. (I hope not)

Come to my Clan chat (I'm there if I'm online) if you wish to borrow a Green H'ween mask, Blue H'ween Mask, Red H'ween Mask, or Santa for a reasonable price.
