I like it, but there's just something about it that puts me off. The annoying thing is, I really can't place my finger on it. :?

 

 

 

It might be that the Guitar blends a bit too much into the rest of the design.. :o

I think the black and white strips each side of the neck obscure the form of the guitar too much, it looks too complicated.

It looks great except the guitar blends to much into the checkered black and white. Maybe try moving the checkered colors down a bit or the guitar up a bit so the neck of the guitar is not on the checkerboard.

I know you said nothing about the text... but it would look better if you used a clipping mask (right above your text layer create a new layer, image -> apply image, layer -> create clipping mask). Then move it around until it looks good ::'
