Do not fire bolt or strike monsters. The method I've found the best on my road to 99 Magic(91 now, * points to sig*) is that alching green d'hide bodies can lose anyone from 20 to 70 gp each, depending on the price you buy bodies at.

Quite simply, Facebook craps on Myspace. Then makes it eat the crap.

From this thread: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=712538

People said not to buy d-hide bodies right now because of their current price. If you can manage to buy them cheaper, then you should craft/alch them.

If you craft your natures, I don't think you'd lose money.

In my eyes, there are only two viable ways of training Magic well.

1 - High Alchemy used on Yew Longbows. 132gp per cast and racks up up to 65k experience per hour with no change whatsoever.

2 - Fire Bolt at Iron Dragons or other preferred monster. 180gp per cast and gets about 40k experience per hour when used properly. Gets you HP experience and some great drops if used at the right places.

With your levels, a twist to the bows method is possible.

Camp at a Yew spot, cut.

While waiting for respawn, make & alch unstrung longs - they high alch for 384gp and you don't need any unstackable supplies to repeat until

bored to death. Of course, it depends on doing reasonably well at yew cutting.

Depending on the magic tree cutting, you could even do magic shortbows, but probably better to string those.

Other possibilities:

Mage at PC, putting points to mage (in 100's).

Mage at CW for fun.

MTA - can maybe recoup costs by dealing in Infinity robes / mage book.

You seem to have a pretty good runecrafting level. I suggest you craft nature runes, so you may actually gain some profit and still receive mage exp. From yew longs, d hide bodies.

If you don't feel like craftin then I suggest getting a few antifire pots and using fire bolt at iron\steel dragons.

Wind Blasts. 25.5 xp per gp (base xp + more xp for the spells that hit) if you have some fish you don't want in your bank.

Buy a kitten from Gertrude (100 gp). Let it follow you around for a few hours until it becomes a cat (cost - a few low level fish). Trade it to a "civilian" in West Ardougne for 100 deaths. (This assumes you have done the Biohazard quest)

100 deaths + air staff = 100 nearly free wind blasts. Maybe not the fastest xp, but *very* cheap. Before you do the wind blasts, stop at Gertrude's in Varrock for a new kitten. Keep the kitten with you while you do the wind blasts. You'll run out of wind blasts before the kitten is grown (no system is perfect!), but kitten farming (!) makes for some VERY cheap xp.
