Well sure, that's reasonable. If you won't get your money's worth then I understand 110% why you wouldn't pay the 5 dollars. But for those who DO have the time AND the money, they should just whip out their card or phone and buy it. For those less fortunate, I'm sorry, but Jagex IS a company, one that needs money, and one that does all the work and decides things based on the popular census. Since giving the members world for nothing to free players once a month would affect US, they'd naturally value OUR opinions more than yours. Yes, I couldn't agree more. If you want something, you have to pay for it.; that's just how the world works nowadays. I made the post for two reasons:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1) Most members tend to generalize f2p'ers as greedy a-holes. That's just not true, as I have proven in my previous post. There are extending circumstances that prevent ppl from getting members. Of course, that does not excuse them to go expecting member stuff for free, as that would simply be hypocritical.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2) - and this is not directed against everyone here, but against those who recognise themselves in my description - I'm kinda fed up with those f2p'ers that constantly whine for free stuff whilst expecting not having to pay for it. However, I'm equally fed up with those p2p "pro's" ( :roll: ) that constantly whine about "f2p noobs wanting free stuff" when there really is no reason to go say that.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Obviously, this was an honest suggestion and how good or bad as it may be, it was never intended to "whine about getting things for free for f2p". And yet, as soon as some ppl even read the post, they made the decision for themselves that "it just had to be one of them f2p noobs wanting free stuff".

its a good idea but it need some tweaks:

 

 

 

1)one problem is the overrun of member worlds so they would better just make the f2p worlds open for all the areas for that one day.

 

 

 

2)other problem is how often: one day a month is too often

 

 

 

3) exp gained should erase but that makes a problem since the f2p wolrds would become as big as members world , and people who dont want to go on the p2p area, still got their stats erased for that day. (since jagex would prolly erase all stats gained that day on every world which is open for members)

 

 

 

this problem could be fixed by making a majority of the f2p servers open to the members area for that day, and so all f2p'ers who want to test out members go on that. and then a few servers could stay like they are now: totally f2p, so exp gained doenst dissapear

 

 

 

4) trades... xp is easy to erase, trades arent, since its someting between 2 persons (cant really explain this, but you get my point, no?)

 

 

 

=> cant find a solution

 

 

 

5) what about people who buy member items in shops

 

 

 

=> cant find a solution

 

 

 

6) what about members items that npc drops , will they just dissapear

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

WAIT, I JUST FOUND IT, it solves everything

every 3 months(or even more months in between), a certain amount of f2p wolrd turns into beta-member worlds: everything you do that day will be totally forgotten/erased when the day is gone. even for members who go on those worlds, EVERYTHING GETS ERASED. so one guy cant sell somethign cheap to another (member) guy, knowing that everything gets erased anyway (so he gets his stuff back). so if you (prollly a f2per) decide to explore it a bit, do some quests, and test out the mighty dragon lnog (if your fast enough to finish lost city), and then decide to leave the beta world, and log in again into a normal f2p world, your char is just the same (even at same place) as when u logged out to visit the beta world.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

this way members world doesnt get overran, scams arent a problem (everything gets erased), etc...

 

 

 

=> all problems fixed

U take you stats and go to the p2p world, but not with the reg p2p, special free-p2p worlds so not to bother the regular p2pers, they could go around do quests, train and all that good stuff, but then at the end of the day all xp gained on the member worlds would not be tranfored back to the regular f2p worlds making the time basically usuless...i would still do that tho :lol:

I like the previous post about the free member's worlds on other servers, but I'm sticking by my opinion of "JUST NO" with extreme firmity.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

People make members out to be some world ENTIRELY different from f2p. It KIND OF is, but not in the way they're thinking. Members just gives a few new areas, with a few new items and tons more quests. F2p shows you MOST EVERYTHING you're going to experience on members, with a few exceptions like abilities and items.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If f2p doesn't entice players to become members, then nothing will. It's as simple as that; and this is comming from a person who HAS been on both sides of the mountain.

I dont think this would be a good idea. Too much ranting would go on for days or even weeks on end after the free p2p day. Even if you reset the stats what would happen to the items they gained during the process. Being pure f2p, I don't need to be enticed even more to become p2p :P I cant miss what I've never had :wink: PS- still cant become p2p :(

We pay for p2p to keep the newbs off, that would be a day where almost nobody logged onto rs...

Two reasons I became a member:

 

 

 

1. To get away from the hoards of immature players.

 

 

 

2. To get less lag whilst playing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The first thing I thought when I read your idea was the same as trixstar's 'I wouldn't log in on that day' and why shouldn't I log in? I pay for it don't I?

Members pay to play in the members areas, F2P shouldnt be given this oppertunity to play for a day each month, it wouldnt be fair on paying members.

 

Ok, first off, the god damn f2p noobs would overrun and basically KICK OUT the members of their OWN member worlds. Secondly, this would mean that those 28/30/31 days of a month we pay for would only be 27/29/30. Thirdly, f2ps do NOT deserve the right to get a "member-world free" day, because they don't pay, so they shouldn't get it. Got it?
