Bouwzie
I have quite a problem (probably bug) with the hide function. If somebody just types: [hide]Example[/hide], then it should come up with: Hidden post, might contain spoiler. Click to see. (Or something along those lines.) Whenever somebody post that, it shows up as just an empty box. There is nothing to click on. This means that I can't see that post, hidden message. Sometimes, when reading a topic, this can't be very irritating. Seeing as I am on Tip.It Forums alot (maybe too much :uhh: ), I read alot of posts. Except for the ones without the text put in by themselves. And that is because I can't see it at all. I private messaged a mod about this, but that was like 2 weeks ago, I did get a reply, but that was that she didn't understand how it could that it didn't show up with anything and that is probably was a bug. So now, I ask the people here (if this is the right place to post it.): Do you know how this is possible and how it can be made that it doesn't show up? Thanks in advance. ~Bouwzie~
mchainmail
While this won't fix the true problem, if you quote their post, you can read the full text.

InkofDeath
Usually works for me, I don't think the problem has occurred to me at all...not saying there isn't a problem, or is one. Make sure you allow whatever script or application that the hide is, is on and allowed by your web browser. This may turn out to be better for Tech & Computers Area. Cruiser
Do you by chance have javascript disabled? Fiddling around turning javascript on/off in Firefox results in the box totally disappearing along with some other weird side effects. :? Also, what browser are you using? mchainmail
I popped javascript off (actually switched on NoScript) and all I got was a blank space (like a couple returns) where the hides used to be.
tripsis
Sorry I'm completely useless in this situation.. but while this has never happened to me on this forum, it did happen to me on a forum I was browsing a couple months ago. They had a different forum package, which may have caused it, but I was using the same computer/browser that I am now. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog

InkofDeath
I use FireFox, Java-script is on. If your still able to access IE6/7, try to check and see if it works on that browser. If it does, re-download firefox after uninstalling the current one you have. If it doesn't work, I smell a software problem.
Bouwzie
Just found something out. When my TIF account isn't logged in, then I can see and click on the "This message etc.". When it's logged in, I only see the line. So it is something with my TIF account. Maybe that's helpful.
DarkDude
Strange, mrymk's (I think :P) post appears to be broken, yet the spoiler in the original message and the picture in the spoiler tags work fine for me.

InkofDeath
Go this area: It's in your profile. Make sure at least those three things are on the 'Yes' ratio button.
Cruiser
Allowing HTML in the profile is useless because it's off forum wide already. If BBcode was turned off the forums would be spitting out the raw tags instead of the blank box.

D. V. Devnull
Everything was and is turned on skatedog. Disable your in-account HTML setting & make sure that Javascript really is properly on and working in your browser. It really sounds much to me like something is not configured right on your end, because from what I understand, Albosky does quite a good job making sure a feature works before releasing it, just in case of this kind of [bleep]-ery. I really can't believe that it isn't working right for you, unless Albosky really blew it on the German language file. :? Albosky
If the problem is related to you using Dutch as the default language, then someone will have to provide me with a reason for the problem and a means to fix it , as I don't speak nor read Dutch. The language files are default provided from the phpBB website as I don't speak additional languages and wouldn't be able to update them. Stay logged in but change the language in your profile to English and let me know if it IS the language setting causing the problem.
