Starry Starry Night

3 hours spent, Pro Motion 6 was used.

Maybe put some stars in the background since it is starry night and since the bg is somewhat bland, but other than that it looks great.

I have considered that, but I am a very lazy person.

Do something to the night sky. Put stars and stuff in. Almost like my avatar. Maybe make the moon glow a little?

VERY nice job on the moon, the hat looks funny, and the background needs stars..

also, maybe add a glow from the moon.

thanks for the comments guys, I might add some things to make it look more like a night sky, but as stated before, I am a very lazy person.

The moon is really good. it'd be worth it to put in the stars.

Now that wasnt that bad now was it  .

It looks even better now. IT jsut kinda seemed empty before but now its perfect. I'd follow yaff's suggestion so it doesn't get ripped.

I don't see the importance of watermarking everything, I doubt anyone work 'rip' it. And if they did? I personally wouldn't be bothered, if anything be flattered they would wish my work to be theirs. And im sure this isn't a commisson of sorts, reddawn's obviously done this for fun, or at most for learning purposes. Be all means put text on it, but its pixel-art, its not exactly a hard media to un-watermark.

reddawn I'd say you could work on the depth of this much more, it seems in places texture has taken over making it seem very flat such as the nose and lips, where there is a sense of depth it looks more like an emboss rather than what you were most likely trying to achieve.

I do like your colour choices you seem to be getting more comfortable with your abilities but make sure your shades blend work well as a whole, some seem too close and hardly noticable from 100% and some are just a bit too noticably afar, if you get what I mean.

keep it up - Ter

Agreed. I find it ridiculous that so many people here on these forums are so hell bent against making their signature watermarked in so many ways.

Anyways I like it reddawn, good job.

thanks for the advise Ter, and thank you for the comments everyone. Yeah I am probably not going to add text or watermark this... partially because I am lazy, and partially because it's pretty pointless..text can be removed. The only time I put any form of "watermark" on my work these days is to act as a signature.

Modified the palette used on the stars, and adjusted their shape.
