I seriously think I've played about everyone out there, but maybe there's a hidden treasure I've yet to find. Here are some of my favorites: http://www.helbreathusa.com - Fun simple game like diablo. 5 free days to try it out, then 9.95USD/month http://www.knightonlineworld.com - Another Malaysian game. Awesome game. Free forever with option to pay 14.95USD/month for extra features http://www.ryl.net - Freakin awesome game, tons of classes, 2 races at war, and lots of quests to do. Evil_Elf Posted April 17, 2005 Share Posted April 17, 2005 I played RYL months ago (when it was open beta), mages were the only viable class to pvm with, the economy was insanely screwed, melee was far underpowered and the chat system was bleh. DarkRider Posted April 18, 2005 Share Posted April 18, 2005 currently playing ROSE online. probably won't play it for much longer though. all there is to do is kill stuff and upgrade equip. just playing it to kill time until Dark and Light comes out in November. one server. one world. living breathing ecosystem. castle raids. 40,000 km squared landmass. player run politics system. exploring as a viable job. i speak in short sentences to keep from taking up several paragraphs about how psyched i am for this game. The whole game is basically just PKing. And there are a LOT of hackers, particularly ones who use a hack to make themselves walk and attack really fast. It doesn't have a monthly fee (good for me) and seems to be very fun. I am not too knowledgable about it but I suggest that people try it out - great graphics (big for me), good sound, good combat.. I have my own pet that kills and tanks stuff while I just blow it away with my gun, and I chose skinning and leatherworking as my 2 skills so its fun gathering and getting those up while making money, not to mention to 2000 + quests to do. Technically it's not a MMORPG, as if you venture anywhere out of towns/outposts, the only players you see are those in your party. This is referred to as "instancing", and it eliminates spawn killing, lag from too many people in one spot, and the like. I have a 3Ghz P4, 512MB RAM, and a GeForce 6600GT, and with the highest resolution, quality, antaliasing, everything, the game did not falter. You could run this game with an old, low-end card, or even newer integrated graphics. Just a shout to any Canadians: for the day of Thursday April 28, Future Shop & Best Buy will be selling Guild Wars for only $39.99 CAN, and a free T-Shirt thrown in (Future Shop only).
