Best way to avoid being pked at abyss?

Featured Replies

Should I just use abyss bracelet? I have been wearing glory and blue dhide, but I got pked twice in the past few days. Getting the pouches back is annoying. What is the best advice?

In my experience there are two vital things.

1.magic defense

2.one click tele

If you've got good magic defense, then fair chance if a pk'er happens along an attempted teleblock will splash.

One click tele, for quick getaway

Best of luck :-)

what is a one click tele? dont they tele block you? I am thinking just using abyss bracelet, then I can mage protect

Abyss bracelet is wasting money

you tele before they teleblock

tele as soon as you see them then hop world dont wait for them to attack

not a waste of money if I have 100 of them already.

A one click tele is like Ectophail, or a tele tablet.

Come to my Clan chat (I'm there if I'm online) if you wish to borrow a Green H'ween mask, Blue H'ween Mask, Red H'ween Mask, or Santa for a reasonable price.

Follow me here because what I am about to suggest not alot of people know about..

Instead of leaving the bank out of the eastern door and running up the river..

Leave out of the northern entrance and run straight north. Hop the ditch and run north till about 3-5 wildy.. THEN run east.. If there is a white dot on the mini-map (where a PKer would normally be, on the hill) then LOG OUT immediately.

If you log when you see the white dot, he will have no time to pk you since he will more than likely have all his attention on the river line, waiting for a white dot to appear there.

It works and its just as fast as running down the river line too, so you will NOT be spending any more time per run than the way you do now.

Apparently, my signature was to big.

how can a tele tab help if they block me from teleing? Can someone explain tele tabs, I dont know much about them. I was expecting people to suggest abyss bracelets and then prayer protect if someone tries to pk me. Thanks

Teletabs allow you to teleport quickly (one click)

The idea is to be able to tele as quickly as possible, hopefully before you have been tele-blocked.

I recomended hi magic defense, as often attempted pk'ers try to tele block me, and i see a nice little splash(due to my high magic defense), allowing me to get away.

Abyss runecrafting, is all about being able to get away quickly if there is a pk'er in my opinion

In the player-made guides section for skills, there is a very nice Abyss Runecrafting guide.

In the guide it says to not bring one of the bracelets or prayer potion, but definitely bring a one-click teleport. If you see a dot, don't run immediatley. If you get attacked by ancient magic, and it fails, try to keep running to the mage to teleport (I think that's what it said). If you feel you won't make it or get frozen, click the teleport tablet.

If you get snared (regular magic), IMMEDIATLEY click the teleport, because people with regular magic have the ability to use teleblock.

People with ancient magics (where a big ice block goes around you) cannot teleblock you.

If someone ranges at you, run to the mage that teleports you.

I think that is what the guide says, I would double check, though.

A teleport tablet is a little square tablet that when you click it, you will instantly be teleported to where it is for. That way you don't need extra runes to teleport and you dont need to rub anything and then click where you want to go.

EDIT:

Also, if you are teleblocked and slowly dying, it is best to DROP your pouches (from biggest to smallest). I have read this in a few guides. This makes it so that the pouches will not disappear for 2 minutes. You can usually run to the Lumbridge bank really fast, grab an amulet of glory, teleport to edgeville, and run to grab your pouches before they disappear :)

If you're able, do Elemental Workshop pt2. You get a nice shield and helm that give decent magic defense. Wear a Mage Arena god cape if you have one, and full blue d-hide, if that's the highest you can wear. Black or red would be better, if you plan on raising range any time soon. PKers may be able to cast bind, but teleblock is unlikely.

And Ghosts Ahoy wouldn't be a bad idea, so you can get an Ectophial, if you don't want to buy teletabs. If they cast a succesful Bind spell, click it, refill it, and tele back to edgeville. Give up one inventory space, or risk getting PKed...

There is an alternative method for high levels (110+) (yes, i know it doesn't affect you, but it's worth mentioning). By taking a sara brew (4) you would make them do 150 pts of damage in 15 seconds, which is nigh impossible.

OT: The best thing to do is raise your range level and get black. Many pkers see green/blue and think "easy money."

Higher defense + mage level is the first one.

For equipment, wear full black dhide, a mind shield, and a bear hat if you have one (they have good mage defense). A god cape is also good, but I wear a spottier cape.

I bring an ectophial and a 4 dose saradomin brew.

Never been KOd since I had this setup; I've survived many attacks, even some instances of being tbd + entanged.

I just want to add, then i suggest time when worlds are not crowded to do it, when almost sleep, then you can get more then 1 friend with you (10 or more) and all lets get dds and if somebody attack just all attack that pker too, i think here is good to make some Abyss RC clan, then maybye PK'ers start to afraid extra violented good organized abyssal rc'ers :)

Suggestion: You can use Anchor on Waterfiends - is cheap if to compare to GS & effective with crush attack & it hit like Whip.

i'm lvl 92 and i make abyss runs wearing full green, elemental sheild and axe. ectophial in my pack and ess/pouches. lots of ancient and high mage pkers around my lvl lurk near the mage. if you think youre at risk, just run around the other side of the river, you have a 99% chance of getting to the mage safely because pkers mostly stay on the west side of that river
