Artificial_Doom_Flavor
Are you allowed to have more than one account logged into SEPARATE worlds simultaneously, never interacting with one another? Still enjoying RuneScape?

prairiepalmeri
I cant read the rules now, (im at school :P ). But from what I remember it says that you can two accounts LOGGED On, as long as they dont interact. But idk? What about on two different pcs at the same time, (Ihave a laptop too!) If Ax+By=C What does Runescape equal?
mosesthescot
No - you can't - they log the IP and say that your IP is already signed on. I guess if you had a second computer you could. http://sig.runeweb.net/sig/12/mosesthescot.png
agira
No - you can't - they log the IP and say that your IP is already signed on. I guess if you had a second computer you could. I newer tried it but i think like developer. Really exists networks (almost companies offices, then universities & etc..) where more then 100 people can access internet from same IP adress and if 50 from they start to play RuneScape, from same IP i suppose they must don't ban they, same is with internet voting systems where people vote for something on web. Mainly this kind systems check it using cookies and theorically possible to connect with diferent browsers, but i don't suggest to do this, really is question or it break jagex rules because accounts not interract if player play on diferent servers... but all this is question... Added after edit: In this kind networks diferent computers have diferent local adresses but Operating Systems like WindowsXP can have more then 1 IP address.. Suggestion: You can use Anchor on Waterfiends - is cheap if to compare to GS & effective with crush attack & it hit like Whip.Visit my exp track
McGuff1
Are you allowed to have more than one account logged into SEPARATE worlds simultaneously, never interacting with one another? Rule 8 - Multiple Logging-In You may create more than one RuneScape account, but if you do, you may not log in more than one account at any time... Sounds pretty clear to me. My son and I both play, have 2 separate accounts, but sometimes play at the same time from the same IP address ...hmm ...never thought about it being illegal :ohnoes:

Is it in the FAQ? "We had gay burglars the other night. They broke in and rearranged the furniture."
agira
Its from Jagex Website ( http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarti ... le_id=2078 ): My brother and I both play from our own accounts in our house. Is it all right if we trade items? Yes, this is not going against the rules of conduct providing you are both playing from two separate accounts created by each of you. Dukc
No i don't think so, because you would still get things done in twice as short time that if you don't. you should'nt test it. Cryptogram
You can have as many accounts as you wish logged in from the same place as long as each account is on a separate PC. You aren't allowed to have two or more accounts logged in on the same PC; they have ways to detect this although they won't detect it unless they have reason to do so. They will immediately detect two accounts on one PC attempting to access the same world and a message will appear saying that this cannot be done. Don't follow me. You might not make it.All your accounts are belong to us now.If this were a dictatorship, it'd be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator

Probably they just get local and outside IP addresses, then if you have at home few PC's and they access internet throught router but they anyway have diferent local IP and just same external IP address then if you run 2 clients from same PC - they get then local and external IP addresses match, but it not tested and possibly then they detect it using Browser caches or cookies too, no other way to detect it i think, java applet don't have permissions to access runned system processes to check for other instances.
