November 30, 200718 yr Personally, grades mean squat onces you have commercial experience in a field of work. And - people can study all they want, but I (and a lot of people I know) found it better to be a master of something, than a jack of all trades and try to do awesome in everything. By all means do it if you want to... just consider that when it matters, the people who make the call will not care about stuff unrelated to what you want to do.
November 30, 200718 yr After the above posts, I have come to the conclusion that either Americans hide their intelligence and are super children, or your work is much easier then ours.... *Thx goddess, I guess that kind of gives me the meaning of it, but we dont have a GPA here, so im still in the dark about it. Like what is the scale or w/e. http://nces.ed.gov/surveys/pisa/pdf/PIS ... y_2006.pdf School/college kids in the USA actually do much worse than most of the western world. GPA tells squat about your intelligence. Finland, Canada and Japan are the top 3 when it comes to education and understanding what they learn.
November 30, 200718 yr Author I need to make something clear. For those of you who think im one of those suck-up, kiss-[wagon] kids with no friends, who have those "perfect" families, your horribly horribly wrong. My family is extremely dysfunctional. MY older brother is a jerk with giant moodswings constantly, my younger brother is a wingy midget who always get what he wants, i dislike my mother and my dad is another story altogether. MY friends would just rub my grades in my face - so i had to resort to coming here  . So that clears that up. Now my school's grading system goes like this. A* 90-100 A 85-89 A- 80-84 B+ 75-79 B 70-74 B- 69-65 C+ 64-60 C 59-55 C 54-50 And below.. Quit Runescape 30th May 2006.Thanks to Hawkxs for my signature :)
November 30, 200718 yr Don't panic buddy! :) I have been going through the very same thing! I have always been the student who works hard and gets good grades, but then, my grades start to drop. I then noticed that I was less active in lessons and my mind was lazy, when it was break time I enjoyed hanging about with my friends. There is no need to worry. Take time to relax and revise. Also, you may seem more active in lessons you enjoy the most. Hope this helps :)
November 30, 200718 yr We're still at the first term. So you get a B for this term, get As and A*s for the next and it'll even it out. Just try harder, review your mistakes and pretty soon you'll be walking away with a good grade (and a good future) Ultra Unholy,Hearted Machine...
