question is : does wearing blk mask allow me to hit through second forms prayer ?? I have seen somewhere that this is so..

i beleive i see what happens...her protection spell CAN be hit through but rarely....the ones ive seen the people were on a kalphite task and wearing the mask tohit harder...sorry for the confusion

even without the mask, theres a slight chance you can hit through the queens prayer. however, the prayer makes it a lot more difficult to hit. if you have weapons like the godsword, then you can easily hit through her prayer.

Kalphite Slayer Task + Black Mask = Neglecting target's prayer.

No, thats the Kalphite Queen's impressive defence level that makes it hard to hit her. :wink:

I believe the black mask has to be charged for this to occur, and the chances of it happening are slim. The mask will have a number beside its name when charged.

Nope, your wrong.

 

 

It adds +15% attack and +15% strength during slayer assignments. Initially it has 10 spells which fire randomly, but have no visible animation. These spells lower the opponent's defence by 3-10 points. There is no way to recharge the mask at this time.

 

 

 

An uncharged Black Mask will still hit through the KQ's prayer. So long as you have the Kalphite Slayer task :roll:

Yes, my friend and I both have kalphites for slayer, and we tried this today. He hit a 42 through prayer with whip. I hit a 39 with d hally spec. This was all during the 2nd form. However, veracs is MUCH more accurate, and I think its a little faster than the black mask method.

Protection prayers work 100% against monsters. Against players it's 50% (Sigmund in another slice of HAM uses haxx, so it doesn't count). Ever wondered how you can hit through protect from melee with melee in minigames or wilderness? :D

 

But I'd stick with veracs anyways.

I stated that the black mask would have no effect on the KQ unless you have her as a slayer assignment, I never said that you couldn't hit through her prayers.

To clear up some confusion (all quotes from RSKB):

 

Why is it that my protection Prayers do not always work against another player?

 

 

 

The protection Prayers will always work against monsters. The Prayers do work against other players, but it will reduce the damage you receive by 40%.

 

 

 

Black masks gathered from the corpses of cave horrors give a couple of bonuses when worn. Firstly, they provide Attack and Strength bonuses similar to a Salve Amulet when fighting your Slayer assignment. Secondly, the masks contain 10 spells that can reduce your opponent's Defence by 3-10 levels each time, regardless of whether they are your Slayer assignment, any other monster or another player. When the 10 spells are used, the mask and its natural bonuses will remain.

 

 

 

In her second form she is no longer immune to Magic or Ranged attacks, but as she flies above the ground she is immune to melee attacks. This means of course you will have to use Ranged or Magic attacks against her. She will still be a tough fight, and will continue to use Magic, Ranged and melee attacks against you, all of which can hit in excess of 30 damage.

 

 

 

So in conclusion, even though it is stated that the KQ is immune to melee attacks, it seems you can still get past her prayer without using verac's. The black mask (charged or not) doesn't affect whether you hit her or not, but instead only makes you hit higher (when you do hit), making killing the KQ without verac's a viable option.
