Is Jagex slowly killing this game?

It's crazy over in the Runescape forums. And here none of you are taking it seriously?

 

 

 

I don't have time to complain with a bunch of people who do nothing but disagree with my points. Thus all I'm asking is an honest opinion, but it looks like I'm not getting anything. Oh well, I don't need to be a member or even play this game anymore. If Jagex doesn't care about me quitting the game or doesn't care that what they are doing now is wrong, then I don't care about them either.

I 100% disagree that jagex is slowly killing rs, they killed it pretty damn fast.

 

Out of our irc channel about 15 people out of about 25 have quit, out of my friends list i just logged in to see no one online.

The best government, is one that governs the least. The past few updates have persauded several of my close friends to quit and move on... I don't know if I will continue and find another game, but you can most certainly tell that RuneScape is in a depression.

 

All these new rules really limit what you used to be able to do. The two things that make me maddest are the staking changes and the Unbalanced trading rule. CAN I NOT BE NICE TO SOMEONE???? Can i not share the wealth of charity and be hospitable to my friends? I guess not...

 

The point, in my opinion of mmorpg's, is to relive your life in a fantasy state and go against the grain. But the only game i found ever that will let me do anything is the Elder Scroll games.. (They rock ftw?) I will probably still play but not as much as i normally do.. which is probably good for me... :-k #-o

 

 

 

On the topic of autoers and selling gps for RL money, the past few updates will probably cut down 90% of automated farmers. But is this Healthy for RuneScape as a whole????????? :ohnoes:

 

I've said it many times before to my friends.. without AI people the economy will fall apart. Jagex found a loophole and practically destroyed (everything?)

TBH, I think your anger comes from sheer fear of change. I think that if you can't cope with the change then don't. I really don't think anyone cares that you're leaving the game over an update that in time will RS SOME good. Just imagine... no lv 3's at your favorite Yew cutting spot, no more auto ess miners... no more overcrowded beaches of the fishing guild/Catherby! I just hope there's enough players remaining when the dust settles.

There is much more to these terrible updates than what you think amitoz. I deal with change every day, but the attitude Jagex has been posing on the honest players is inconsiderate and rude. You don't realize how this badly affects the game. Think about it. Staking 3K every 15 min? Jagex dictating the prices at GE? No more pking? No more sharing the wealth? You call this GOOD? It's terrible, it's ughcastic. This does not represent a fun loving and peaceful community. If anything Jagex is turning it into a communist type nature where everything is equal and no one can gain wins or losses over another player.

 

 

 

Don't give me that crap that your only starting to realize that this is going to get rid of the autoers. They have always been around, ever since the early days of RS Classic. Even in early RS2 I always come across lvl 3s at Draynor Village doing nothing but cutting wood and stockpiling it in their bank accounts. This will not only fail to get rid of all of them, but it will also cause many honest players to quit, lose respect in Jagex, and find something else to bide their time.

 

 

 

Unlike many people here, I have been with this game since Runescape Classic, and I've seen many events happen, from the party hat duplicating issue to the changes in Varrock and Falador. While I appreciate a couple of the comments here, until someone gives a long, detailed post of how Runescape has gone from being great to being crappy, I won't take any of you seriously.

Let me say this.... after last logging in on January 22, 2008, some things have changed around here. This is perhaps the longest time I went without logging in.

 

 

 

If anyone wants to continue this thread, then go ahead. I may keep the sig as I just started Runescape up again in March 11, 2009 and quit on June 2006. Wow, how time flies.

If Jagex wouldnt have done anything to the RWTing, then what would Runescape be now? One day you sell something for 100k and next day its value is suddenly 500k. Because of constant money pouring in to the market (thanks to autoers) everything would be so cheap that making million would be as hard as soloing CB

 

 

 

If Jagex would only give updates to higher lvl player, they would be satisfied for a short time, but humans old and they will move on with their lives, leaving Runescape behind. High level players would quit and there wouldnt be low level, because everything would be too hard for them.

 

 

 

You will quit because of this? That`s fine for Jagex, because when you quit, 2 low levels will replace you after seeing how much content this game has.

 

 

 

Face it. Old Runescape would suck.

Why are you guys even bothering to reply to some immature person who can't adapt to change and keeps whining about it? SERIOUSLY, stop it. This is like, the 10th or so thread talking about the same thing in essence. I just had to read the title and the first few paragraphs to know what this person is talking about.

 

 

 

All these changes made by Jagex are for the better good, face it. You don't like the removal of the wilderness, the implementation of the wilderness ditch, the stake limits in the duel arena, etc. All changes will have some sort of negative effect. And Jagex has been wasting FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR too much time making updates for you immature, never content, unappreciative people. Look. They removed the wilderness, and have been putting in a lot of effort making the PvP worlds, bounty hunter upgrades, etc. Far too much time wasted on combat-based updates. They totally forget about skillers, etc, just because you combat-based people and unappreciative ones just keep flaming, spamming, ranting all over the forums. Seriously, GET THE HELL OVER IT. Nearly one and a half years after the updates, and there are still idiots like you whining. Who cares a [bleep] if you quit? The more of you unappreciative, never satisfied, immature people that quit, the better the RS community will become. Sadly, you are just too stubborn to get the hell out of RS. No one will care if you leave. You can rant, you can flame, you can spam, you can curse. No one cares.

 

 

 

You say the grand exchange makes it much harder for merchanters to earn money. On the contrary, it makes it easier. Who wants to stand in a crowded bank and shout "selling 1000k of crap 1gp ea" for hours on end? With the grand exchange, you can just dump whatever you want to sell there, then set a price, and then go and skill, play minigames, whatever, and come back to see how many of the item has been sold. Also, the grand exchange has a database where they plot the price of items, so merchants can see how the price of a certain item has been fluctuating, and plan to buy or sell. Don't make stupid and ignorant assumptions, please.

 

 

 

This new community is much better. You hate the new players. Sorry, but we hate you. With the wilderness removal and other stuff updates, most of the stupid immature people quitted RS. Its just a few stubborn people like you left. So why don't you just quit. We don't need you.
