Remove the ditch now?

Since the update I fail to see a reason the ditch is still there, any ideas?

Don't you know the first rule of MMO's? Anyone higher level than you has no life, and anyone lower than you is a noob.

Well, players might be able to lure people into a group of those Revenants, but it sounds less likely. Good point.

jagex puting in updates without thinking, seems the ditch is pointless now. sure makes runecrafting alot easier elimants rc pking, making the abyss no dangerious defiting its purpose of making it hard to train rc, lets also not forget about all the dragon trainers now. . . autoing in the wild will become more popular doing lvl 3 clues will become alot easier to not having to worry about dieing to pkers.

Only the monsters in some places in the old "wild" have become stronger now, so thats one thing youve gotta keep in mind.

if they did then rcing 1k runes single no doubling would save them an average of 30 minutes per thousand they crafted, seeing as the ditch adds uneeded amounts of time, and then if they did tho the lurers would come back, and who wants that?

This is just a guess, but you know there are more and more warnings on dangerous places? Jagex released a nice generic Danger interface and stuck it on the Shantay Pass, the Ditch of Stupidity, the Mole cave, the Lumbridge cellar hole, etc. It's controlled by the Doomsayer in Lumbridge.

 

 

 

Those revenants are pretty dangerous, and it's a reasonable guess that Jagex isn't going to remove the warning interface in case a newbie enters the Wilderness by accident, dies and whines about it. And to make warning interfaces work, they seem to need the ditch (given that the old warning interface didn't work very well before the ditch was installed).

What we need to do is fill the ditch with high-yield ordnance. When a group of noobs jump across..... :twisted:

Yep, the anti-trade update will make all the effort they put into KQing, DKing, and the God Wars Dungeon a waste. There will be no reason at all to return to those places after January, because no one will be able to split their shares of good drops.

The ghosts aren't that lureble b t w. And since they only attack levels of their levels, luring is kinda difficult and pointless just incase someone will pull out that arguement

yea it seems like a waste of even ever putting that ditch in there, but i guess its sorta like the disk of returning with new updates old ones become obsolit (spell check on that please)

I can't agree more. as a minimum, Jagex could remove it from p2p - not many noobs there, and they don't have to worry about PKers.

Jagax like every company likes to cover their behinds. They will not remove the ditch for the reason of newer players complaining on a death. Plus it is the one of only two spots I can see my F2P avatar jump(other one is in lumbridge.)

 

 

 

 

 

I believe they could go back to a simple warning screen now, it is not like the players would be attacked right opon entering the wild like when they get lured. and i dont believe they would keep it in to just simply see your character jump . . . :D

Not much different from luring players to other strong monsters. I think it's good to say that this should be removed. Just make sure the message stays up when you first enter the wilderness.
