(lock) My friend wants to commit suicide...

You fail hard at trolling. We gave you tons of suggestions and you haven't given results, just more calls for advice.

@Goddess:

I made this thread to calm me down. It eventually did, but I think that was after calling some people.

My school counselor called my friend's school and she is safe and sound. I still can't contact her though... All seems to be well now.

darkmage, do some research on aspergers. Once they have something stuck in their mind, that is it. Unless you know how to speak to someone with it, you have no chance of changing their mind. Thankfully I've had 4 years experience with my boyfriend who also has it.

Sometimes explaining things to them can be like smacking your head against a brick wall :wall: but they are some of the nicest people you could ever have as a friend, they would do anything for you. Although limited interests, they are extremely intelligent in their narrow interest fields.

Sometimes I get jealous because I wish that special interest was our relationship instead of motorbikes and the army but what can ya do? lol

If I had a dollar for everytime I lost my patience with him he'd be a millionaire. You just have to accept that it's not them as a person and they don't do it purposefully, it's the illness.

I hate to confuse him but sometimes the only way to help him make a decision or to change his mind is to give him harsh automates.

Change is very difficult they prefer for things to remain as they are... So you can imagine my frustration trying to help us move out in to a house...I've told him to piss off twice already over it, it's very stressful and involves so much patience.

The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours.

Feel free to disagree I'm going by books and personal experience.

Clearly you seem to know someone who isn't difficult and I'm happy for you.

You do know there are different levels of severity? :?

No, i have aspergers myself and never found difficulty in people explaining things to me. :)

Like I said, there are different levels of severity.

For example my boyfriend is not very good with non verbals and I can rarely get him to talk about his feelings, where as another girl I know can only perform one task at a time, another doesn't even seem to show any sympoms other than her favourite topics.

I'm glad to hear that. Hopefully you can talk to her soon.

If you haven't thought about it, you should probably get some help too. I'm not saying this to make you feel bad, but if you are having suicidal thoughts, you need psychological help. I know what it's like, and I've been down that road, and I have to say that I'm extremely glad that I got the help I needed.

I wish you and your friend the best. :)

For those of you that were accusing me of being a prankster, get off this thread. You know nothing about me. Instead of insulting me, just report the thread and let the mods decide. I myself am suicidal and it's not very healthy on me for one person to call me a liar. You just wouldn't understand.

Mods, feel free to lock this thread.
