hi.. i need the best way to obtain them

 

of course not buying :P

 

and stealing them also seems pretty slow as they are quite rare

 

so im thinkin em as monster drop... who to kill?

Or you could hunt monsters that drop better items, sell those and buy your seeds.

you can get up to 32 watermelon seeds as a reward from the temple trekking minigame. I think its the fastest way.

The skeletons in Olaf's caves are best, Ogres rarely drop them.

Any route. I prefer medium since it's faster and your follower dies less often. However, on medium, you're less likely to get the max amount of seeds.
