December 14, 200718 yr It was explained in their newest Diary that 3rd party sites would still sell the gold for cheaper prices and hence continue to be out of Jagex's control. Even if only Jagex could sell gold, autoers would still appear due to the high demand. Not completely true. Gold farmers will cease to exist at the point in time where the cost a month of Runescape would exceed the profits made by RWT. Thusly, there'd be two ways to solve this problem: 1.) Raise the price of Runescape or 2.) Have Jagex sell gold for RL money while raising the prices of in-game items. That'd definitely drive gold farmers out of business, though I doubt Jagex would be likely to do either.

December 14, 200718 yr Inflation. Every time money enters the game, all money in runescape loses value. Eventually the prices of all items will elevate until it would cost an obscene amount for anything, perhaps 1m for an obsidian shield, etc.
