Sly_Wizard Posted December 14, 2007 Share Posted December 14, 2007 It was explained in their newest Diary that 3rd party sites would still sell the gold for cheaper prices and hence continue to be out of Jagex's control. Even if only Jagex could sell gold, autoers would still appear due to the high demand. Not completely true. Gold farmers will cease to exist at the point in time where the cost a month of Runescape would exceed the profits made by RWT. Thusly, there'd be two ways to solve this problem: 1.) Raise the price of Runescape or 2.) Have Jagex sell gold for RL money while raising the prices of in-game items.
