Ultra Lag

Featured Replies

Why has it been lagging so much in Runescape lately? Is it because of the Grand Exchange? Jagex better fix it.

In my opinion this needs to go to rants forum

if you lagged enough to make a thread about it, probably your computers fault, not the servers.

LOL Lagex, top quality material right there.

Nice!

How many runescape players does it take to change a lightbulb?

50.

1 to change the bulb and the other 49 to complain about how it was better before.

THE MODS THERE ARE COMPLETE AND UTTER IDIOTS!

So why are you here?

I knew someone would come around and say that. Brand new computer, high speed cable internet connection. And this is a discussion about the recent rise of lag in runescape, not a rant. This is why I hate forums: people always want to avoid the actual topic and talk about the motives of the poster, where it should have been posted, or something obvious that the poster felt didn't need to be said but always winds up saying anyway because people feel the need to post the obvious.

There, you wanted a rant and now you have one, lets get back on topic now.

For me, and a lot of other people, the game is working fine for.

This seems clearly like a problem at your end.

Clearly- Because you know all about my lag problems and what cause them, right? CLEARLY. lmao.

That lag looks like it comes from your computer or internet connection, not Jagex servers. When the lag comes from the your end, things seem to slow down then speed up to catch up with real time. If it were server lag, then things would slow down or stop, then pick up where they left off at normal time.

That's exactly what was happening and what I am talking about. The picture I posted where it was catching up with all the hits that happened took place when I was loading up firefox. Misleading, I know, but hey.

Thanks :)

When the gameplay stops for a few seconds and then continues as normal, this is server lag. If gameplay stops, and when it starts your char moves real quick or you suddenly see several splats when fighting, that's your pc or connection lagging.

I've seen quite a lot of the former lately.

Don't follow me. You might not make it.
