dsavi
And about Apple's claim that it's possible to put Windows on a Mac but not Mac OS on Windows, that's just because they don't want people buying a Windows computer for way less than they could get a Mac for and installing Mac OS, so they made it illegal. It's definitely possible though. Link please? Yes, stick with Windows. Contrary to poular belrief, Vista is not that buggy. Areo works good, but don't waste your money on Ultimate. I say that as a hardcore Windows fan. Get Home Premium, best value. Anyone knows that unless you have a budget the size of Bill Gates, Mac=Epic fail. Edit I'm back, from 500 km away now, would have finished the post otherwise. Get 2 gigs of ram, if you can afford it, get an Intel Dual core. They rock. A 15 inch screen should do it. Necrobean
1500$? Heck, doesn't a gaming monster with a Quad-core processor cost roughly 1600? I think you're set. ;>

eggzs
if you have vista it should be pretty easy to display your gpu, as it shows you it in welcome centre everytime you turn your computer on, if you disabled it star->welcome centre
MageUK
Ugh @ Centrino - that's the cheap line of processors. Should have got yourself a Core2 Duo setup.
Nadril
Yeah I still don't know why you asked for all this help if you just got something else anyways. (and something much worse at that rate). :? Oh well, it was your money -- not mine.

junkiejeff
A computer with good gaming capibility and multimedia features below 1500 is hard to find. Try newegg. A HUGE amount of computers/media devices/laptops/computer parts and much more. Just search and you will find the computer you want. I personally would advice you these ones: excellent gaming pc Excellent for media If you like AMD Phenom An allrounder with some neat stuff Edit: Lol, to late you already made your choice. I'm sorry to say, but with that budget you could have bought a much better PC.
