If assigned by a slayer master, are they a good task for a meleer?

 

 

 

I haven't done the Rum Deal quest needed to unlock these slayer creatures, but I am thinking about it. Opinions would be great.

They are better to range, but they drop a fair amount of Kwuarm, which is used in super strength potions.

They're not a good task for anything xp wise, they are basically like an alt task. They drop kwuarm like 1/4.

 

 

 

If you can kill them, may as well for the herbs, but really not worth going out of your way to access.

where did u guys kill ur fevers at? in the basement of the rum deal quest i did an entire task without a single kwuarm drop. is there another spot?

To the contrary, I've found fever spiders to be extremely good exp, with not so great drops overall. The kwuarms ar nice, but they don't drop often enough at times (1 in 4 is WAY too high) and nothing else drops. However if it's just exp you're after do these tasks, a cannon while ranging rips through them.

I've only ever done two tasks and i've left with a full inv way before i finished, maybe they changed it or i was VERY lucky

After the 197 with none I did e-mail Jagex. They replied with the usual "it's purely luck" garbage.

 

 

 

Obviously it isn't if you dont get a drop in almost 200 kills, and it's meant to be semi-common.

I can only assume they nerfed it, i was getting 1/4 the few times i went, been a while though.

me too, got nothing in 160+

I am 85 slayer.

 

 

 

 

 

Fever Spiders are slow xp. Its only about 45 per kill.

 

 

 

 

 

Very slow xp, but they die fast.

 

 

 

Use slayer gloves, torag plate & leg, black mask, whip, d boots, warrior ring and you will not even need to bring food.
