December 21, 200718 yr Unless you buy your normal/fruit tree seeds, there's honestly no reason to pay the farmers. I've only had two or three out of the last 63(9*7) normal/fruit trees that I've planted die, and I have NEVER payed the farmer. You might want to pay for the rarer seeds...but the 5 yews I planted the other day all lived, had my fingers crossed btw. EDIT: I use supercompost of course.
