thx man...any oither opinions?

If your talking about speed not considering cost, firemaking is fatser.

Reg logs 1-15

Oaks 15-30

Willows 30-45

Maples 45-60

Yews-60-75

Magic 75-99

Fletching has less clicking. FM is cheap, I could get 70 to about 84 firemaking with less than 1m... if maples are 50gp ea. But I vowed not to buy 99 fm or fletch :roll: and cut to 99wc as well, on yews.

I'll get to that eventually :P

Firemaking is one of the nicest capes/emotes but also the one that will leave you one-handed (assuming you don't end up using the other hand to compensate in which in that case you will finish with NO hands).

That being said, both will cost a LOT of money but I would highly recommend doing fletching at the GE (after level 70).

Being not such an experienced fletcher (only level 71 so far), this is all I can tell you:

Make the best possible longbows until you reach Willow Longs. Make these until level 70 fletching (selling these longbows to stores). Since the number of logs needed isn't that that high, really try to cut your own logs (if you have a lot of money, then i guess it is okay to buy the willows in the end necessary to reach 70 fletching).

Once you have 70 fletching, go to GE and buy yew logs. Turn all the logs into Yew Longbows (u) and for the first time in your fletching career, you should string all these babies (should never have strung before because it would be a waste to use the bowstring on maple and lower...).

Anyway, ideally, you should have 44 runecrafting and be making your own nature runes and also be crafting your own bowstring from flax (pick the flax under the gnome stronghold bank and string it in lumbridge castle), but if you can't do both those things, just buy all your supplies at GE.

With these supplies, do the following:

BUY YEW LOGS (404-449ea) ->

BUY OR MAKE NATURE RUNES -> YEW LONGBOWS -> HIGH ALCH FOR GP

BUY OR MAKE BOWSTRING ->

I am not sure however up until what level you should use this method. Whatever you do, best of luck!

Back in the days with no autostringing fletching was faster, but now i idk probs the firemaking that wins.
