I believe the name is combat bracelet, the one that updates you every 10 kills on slayer assignments. I was away when they came out and missed all the talk about them. Are they any good at all when I can use barrow gloves instead? The teleports don't really appeal terribly, I have no problem getting around as is, it's just the slayer.

 

 

 

Perhaps they're good on very slow assignments or very fast burthope assignments? I'd like some tips from higher leveled slayers if I could, I can figure out that there are assigments where barrows is definetly better but are they better for, say, a black demon assignment that I would slowly range through? Putting up with boredom is a big factor to me :P

Yeah Barrow Gloves beat them, only good use of the Combat Bracelet is for those that haven't done RFD and can't be bothered to do them. I started using them first when I became a member, thought they were quite useful with +6 str.

 

 

 

The warning thing could keep you going and determined to finish the task though, but it's just a mental thing.

However, seeing as I bore quickly while ranging and when you have 150+ range bonus another +10 or so makes no difference I think I will use them, it's true that it helps in mental sense to see how many you have left instead of slowly checking or just killing them with no idea. Not really worth sacrificing a max hit when meleeing though I guess :(

Not worth it for rnage either, in fact, ESPECIALLY range, as it's much easier to check your gem. And with range being as slow as it is, you want all the boost you can get.

Perhaps for mage, but I seriously don't see why anyone would train mage via combat when they have alching at their disposal. Fact remains that I couldn't notice a +5-10 increase in range attack for the heck of me. :? Must admit I'm getting pretty sick of having to go through the conversion with duradel each time :P Especially when my bandwidth has run out and it takes ages too load each and every thing I go to.

For those that didn't do RFD, the combat bracer is the way to go, but otherwise, yeah, barrows gloves are better.

 

 

 

If I'm fighting something while wearing full barrows, the few extra points difference doesn't mean a lot to me and instead of carrying the gem with me to find out where I stand, I take the bracer.

 

 

 

Of course I get metal dragons and god monsters every other mission, sometimes two in a row, so I don't often wear it. It's just one handy item to have (3 combat bracers + 7 skills necklaces) to get around when on Lunar or Ancients. When I switch to Lunar, I put my house in Relleka and use my lute (14 in bank) to get there or house port tabs if I made them up ahead of time.

It's especially good on cannonable tasks like daggs and kalphites because it is easy to miss the "you may now return to your slayer master".

I use barrows+gem over the cb brace. But like you said the bracelets may prove useful on burthrope tasks that you dont need stat boosts to help you.
