December 27, 200718 yr I'm just wondering is autotypers are legal in the game. I never use them and I tend to only report people for "macroing" if they are irritating me with it. So yeah my question is if it's legal for them to use it and if not, should I report them under macroing like I occasionally do?

December 27, 200718 yr just continue to report them under macroing if they really annoy you. i find it taking up to much time to report every auto-talker though There are three sides to every story: There's one side, there's the other, and there's the truth.
December 27, 200718 yr Be careful...unless it's BLINDINGLY obvious you smith get hurt for false reports. It can happen, it has happened, it might happen to you. Just be careful.

Well when you see someone typing: "Purple:Wave:Selling full wizzy(G) 600k cash only no noobs", Every second, I doubt you'll need confirmation... And yes people who use autotypers are breaking the macro rule...
December 27, 200718 yr Auto-typers are illegal in Runescape and mostly, people use them to sell things in the trading worlds, or bots to advertise gold selling websites. If it is a auto-typer advertising a sale, then you could report them under rule 7, macroing. If it i an auto-typer advertising a website, them you could report the bot in clan chat "Ad Busters" and it will be dealt with as soon as possible. Good-luck! :D
December 27, 200718 yr Jagex states in P Mod centre that you should report autotypers for Rule 1: Offensive Language. I use an autotyper with auto-typos, human-like speed, no typos for white:wave2:, press F1 to say sentence 1, press F3 to say sentence 3... I am not encouraging you to break rules, ~That's about the stupidest thing you could have said.~ ~Back on topic... I, personally, report Autotypers for Macroing and then Offensive Language in that order. The more reports against a Player means that action is more likely to be taken against them.~
December 27, 200718 yr I recently asked a mod why they didn't sit in world1 banning people before the GE update He/She said that the only way a RuneScape player can be banned for autotyping is if they spam it 15 or more times with no breaks between, also, the only thing you're aloud to autotype is selling/buying things, you are not allowed to use it for any other purpose Samari Help me starting out again - Give YOUR advice! If you're collecting in game "hyt's" send me a message here or in game :D
December 27, 200718 yr Samari81 is right. Though the buying and selling part I'm not sure about, but I guess it's one of the main reasons people autotype. Blame Jagex for not writing anything about this in their rules for players. Visit my Runescape comedy website, based on in-game screenshots.
December 27, 200718 yr I think they are legal in trading worlds. Otherwise a Jagex Mod could sit there all day and ban 5k+ people a day. As long as it's not way out of control. Red Blade Hunters: 80+ | 70+ FA | 3+ Years
